1 After this, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: "Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward."
1 이 후에 여호와의 말씀이 환상 중에 아브람에게 임하여 이르시되 아브람아 두려워하지 말라 나는 네 방패요 너의 지극히 큰 상급이니라
1. 這事以後，耶和華在異象中有話對亞伯蘭說：亞伯蘭，你不要懼怕！我是你的盾牌，必大大的賞賜你。
2 But Abram said, "O Sovereign LORD, what can you give me since I remain childless and the one who will inherit my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?"
2 아브람이 이르되 주 여호와여 무엇을 내게 주시려 하나이까 나는 자식이 없사오니 나의 상속자는 이 다메섹 사람 엘리에셀이니이다
2. 亞伯蘭說：主耶和華阿，我旣無子，你還賜我甚麽呢？並且要承受我家業的是大馬色人以利以謝。
3 And Abram said, "You have given me no children; so a servant in my household will be my heir."
3 아브람이 또 이르되 주께서 내게 씨를 주지 아니하셨으니 내 집에서 길린 자가 내 상속자가 될 것이니이다
3. 亞伯蘭又說：你沒有給我兒子；那生在我家中的人就是我的後嗣。
4 Then the word of the LORD came to him: "This man will not be your heir, but a son coming from your own body will be your heir."
4 여호와의 말씀이 그에게 임하여 이르시되 그 사람이 네 상속자가 아니라 네 몸에서 날 자가 네 상속자가 되리라 하시고
4. 耶和華又有話對他說：這人必不成爲你的後嗣；你本身所生的纔成爲你的後嗣。
5 He took him outside and said, "Look up at the heavens and count the stars--if indeed you can count them." Then he said to him, "So shall your offspring be."
5 그를 이끌고 밖으로 나가 이르시되 하늘을 우러러 뭇별을 셀 수 있나 보라 또 그에게 이르시되 네 자손이 이와 같으리라
5. 於是領他走到外邊，說：你向天觀看，數算衆星，能數得過來麽？又對他說：你的後裔將要如此。
6 Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness.
6 아브람이 여호와를 믿으니 여호와께서 이를 그의 공의로 여기시고
6. 亞伯蘭信耶和華，耶和華就以此爲他的義。
7 He also said to him, "I am the LORD, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to take possession of it."
7 또 그에게 이르시되 나는 이 땅을 네게 주어 소유를 삼게 하려고 너를 갈대아인의 우르에서 이끌어 낸 여호와니라
7. 耶和華又對他說：我是耶和華，曾領你出了迦勒底的吾珥，爲要將這地賜你爲業。
8 But Abram said, "O Sovereign LORD, how can I know that I will gain possession of it?"
8 그가 이르되 주 여호와여 내가 이 땅을 소유로 받을 것을 무엇으로 알리이까
8. 亞伯蘭說：主耶和華阿，我怎能知道必得這地爲業呢？
9 So the LORD said to him, "Bring me a heifer, a goat and a ram, each three years old, along with a dove and a young pigeon."
9 여호와께서 그에게 이르시되 나를 위하여 삼 년 된 암소와 삼 년 된 암염소와 삼 년 된 숫양과 산비둘기와 집비둘기 새끼를 가져올지니라
9. 他說：你爲我取一隻三年的母牛，一隻三年的母山羊，一隻三年的公綿羊，一隻斑鳩，一隻雛鴿。
10 Abram brought all these to him, cut them in two and arranged the halves opposite each other; the birds, however, he did not cut in half.
10 아브람이 그 모든 것을 가져다가 그 중간을 쪼개고 그 쪼갠 것을 마주 대하여 놓고 그 새는 쪼개지 아니하였으며
10. 亞伯蘭就取了這些來，每樣劈開，分成兩半，一半對著一半地擺列，只有鳥沒有劈開。
11 Then birds of prey came down on the carcasses, but Abram drove them away.
11 솔개가 그 사체 위에 내릴 때에는 아브람이 쫓았더라
11. 有鷙鳥下來，落在那死畜的肉上，亞伯蘭就把他嚇飛了。
12 As the sun was setting, Abram fell into a deep sleep, and a thick and dreadful darkness came over him.
12 해 질 때에 아브람에게 깊은 잠이 임하고 큰 흑암과 두려움이 그에게 임하였더니
12. 日頭正落的時候，亞伯蘭沉沉地睡了；忽然有驚人的大黑暗落在他身上。
13 Then the LORD said to him, "Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own, and they will be enslaved and mistreated four hundred years.
13 여호와께서 아브람에게 이르시되 너는 반드시 알라 네 자손이 이방에서 객이 되어 그들을 섬기겠고 그들은 사백 년 동안 네 자손을 괴롭히리니
13. 耶和華對亞伯蘭說：你要的確知道，你的後裔必寄居別人的地，又服事那地的人；那地的人要苦待他們四百年。
14 But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will come out with great possessions.
14 그들이 섬기는 나라를 내가 징벌할지며 그 후에 네 자손이 큰 재물을 이끌고 나오리라
14. 並且他們所要服事的那國，我要懲罰，後來他們必帶著許多財物從那裏出來。
15 You, however, will go to your fathers in peace and be buried at a good old age.
15 너는 장수하다가 평안히 조상에게로 돌아가 장사될 것이요
15. 但你要享大壽數，平平安安地歸到你列祖那裏，被人埋葬。
16 In the fourth generation your descendants will come back here, for the sin of the Amorites has not yet reached its full measure."
16 네 자손은 사대 만에 이 땅으로 돌아오리니 이는 아모리 족속의 죄악이 아직 가득 차지 아니함이니라 하시더니
16. 到了第四代，他們必回到此地，因爲亞摩利人的罪孽還沒有滿盈。
17 When the sun had set and darkness had fallen, a smoking firepot with a blazing torch appeared and passed between the pieces.
17 해가 져서 어두울 때에 연기 나는 화로가 보이며 타는 횃불이 쪼갠 고기 사이로 지나더라
17. 日落天黑，不料有冒煙的爐並燒著的火把從那些肉塊中經過。
18 On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram and said, "To your descendants I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates--
18 그 날에 여호와께서 아브람과 더불어 언약을 세워 이르시되 내가 이 땅을 애굽 강에서부터 그 큰 강 유브라데까지 네 자손에게 주노니
18. 當那日，耶和華與亞伯蘭立約，說：我已賜給你的後裔，從埃及河直到伯拉大河之地，
19 the land of the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites,
19 곧 겐 족속과 그니스 족속과 갓몬 족속과
19. 就是基尼人、基尼洗人、甲摩尼人、
20 Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites,
20 헷 족속과 브리스 족속과 르바 족속과
20. 赫人、比利洗人、利乏音人、
21 Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites and Jebusites."
21 아모리 족속과 가나안 족속과 기르가스 족속과 여부스 족속의 땅이니라 하셨더라
21. 亞摩利人、迦南人、革迦撒人、耶布斯人之地。
