1 Then all the Israelites from Dan to Beersheba and from the land of Gilead came out as one man and assembled before the LORD in Mizpah.
1 이에 모든 이스라엘 자손이 단에서부터 브엘세바까지와 길르앗 땅에서 나와서 그 회중이 일제히 미스바에서 여호와 앞에 모였으니
1. 於是以色列從但到別是巴，以及住基列地的衆人都出來，如同一人，聚集在米斯巴耶和華面前。
2 The leaders of all the people of the tribes of Israel took their places in the assembly of the people of God, four hundred thousand soldiers armed with swords.
2 온 백성의 어른 곧 이스라엘 모든 지파의 어른들은 하나님 백성의 총회에 섰고 칼을 빼는 보병은 사십만 명이었으며
2. 以色列民的首領，就是各支派的軍長，都站在神百姓的會中；拿刀的步兵共有四十萬。
3 (The Benjamites heard that the Israelites had gone up to Mizpah.) Then the Israelites said, "Tell us how this awful thing happened."
3 이스라엘 자손이 미스바에 올라 간 것을 베냐민 자손이 들었더라 이스라엘 자손이 이르되 이 악한 일이 어떻게 일어났는지 우리에게 말하라 하니
3. 以色列人上到米斯巴，便雅憫人都聽見了。以色列人說：請你將這件惡事的情由對我們說明。
4 So the Levite, the husband of the murdered woman, said, "I and my concubine came to Gibeah in Benjamin to spend the night.
4 레위 사람 곧 죽임을 당한 여인의 남편이 대답하여 이르되 내가 내 첩과 더불어 베냐민에 속한 기브아에 유숙하러 갔더니
4. 那利未人，就是被害之婦人的丈夫，回答說：我和我的妾到了便雅憫的基比亞住宿。
5 During the night the men of Gibeah came after me and surrounded the house, intending to kill me. They raped my concubine, and she died.
5 기브아 사람들이 나를 치러 일어나서 밤에 내가 묵고 있던 집을 에워싸고 나를 죽이려 하고 내 첩을 욕보여 그를 죽게 한지라
5. 基比亞人夜間起來，圍了我住的房子，想要殺我，又將我的妾强姦致死。
6 I took my concubine, cut her into pieces and sent one piece to each region of Israel's inheritance, because they committed this lewd and disgraceful act in Israel.
6 내가 내 첩의 시체를 거두어 쪼개서 이스라엘 기업의 온 땅에 보냈나니 이는 그들이 이스라엘 중에서 음행과 망령된 일을 행하였기 때문이라
6. 我就把我妾的屍身切成塊子，使人拿著傳送以色列得爲業的全地，因爲基比亞人在以色列中行了扔菏醜惡的事。
7 Now, all you Israelites, speak up and give your verdict."
7 이스라엘 자손들아 너희가 다 여기 있은즉 너희의 의견과 방책을 낼지니라 하니라
7. 你們以色列人都當籌劃商議。
8 All the people rose as one man, saying, "None of us will go home. No, not one of us will return to his house.
8 모든 백성이 일제히 일어나 이르되 우리가 한 사람도 자기 장막으로 돌아가지 말며 한 사람도 자기 집으로 들어가지 말고
8. 衆民都起來如同一人，說：我們連一人都不回自己帳棚、自己房屋去。
9 But now this is what we'll do to Gibeah: We'll go up against it as the lot directs.
9 우리가 이제 기브아 사람에게 이렇게 행하리니 곧 제비를 뽑아서 그들을 치되
9. 我們向基比亞人必這樣行，照所掣的籤去攻擊他們。
10 We'll take ten men out of every hundred from all the tribes of Israel, and a hundred from a thousand, and a thousand from ten thousand, to get provisions for the army. Then, when the army arrives at Gibeah in Benjamin, it can give them what they deserve for all this vileness done in Israel."
10 우리가 이스라엘 모든 지파 중에서 백 명에 열 명, 천 명에 백 명, 만 명에 천 명을 뽑아 그 백성을 위하여 양식을 준비하고 그들에게 베냐민의 기브아에 가서 그 무리가 이스라엘 중에서 망령된 일을 행한 대로 징계하게 하리라 하니라
10. 我們要在以色列各支派中，一百人挑取十人，一千人挑取百人，一萬人挑取千人，爲民運糧，等大衆到了便雅憫基比亞，就照基比亞人在以色列中所行的醜事征伐他們。
11 So all the men of Israel got together and united as one man against the city.
11 이와 같이 이스라엘 모든 사람이 하나 같이 합심하여 그 성읍을 치려고 모였더라
11. 於是以色列衆人彼此連合如同一人，聚集攻擊那城。
12 The tribes of Israel sent men throughout the tribe of Benjamin, saying, "What about this awful crime that was committed among you?
12 이스라엘 지파들이 베냐민 온 지파에 사람들을 보내어 두루 다니며 이르기를 너희 중에서 생긴 이 악행이 어찌 됨이냐
12. 以色列衆支派打發人去，問便雅憫支派的各家說：你們中間怎麽作了這樣的惡事呢？
13 Now surrender those wicked men of Gibeah so that we may put them to death and purge the evil from Israel." But the Benjamites would not listen to their fellow Israelites.
13 그런즉 이제 기브아 사람들 곧 그 불량배들을 우리에게 넘겨주어서 우리가 그들을 죽여 이스라엘 중에서 악을 제거하여 버리게 하라 하나 베냐민 자손이 그들의 형제 이스라엘 자손의 말을 듣지 아니하고
13. 現在你們要將基比亞的那些匪徒交出來，我們好治死他們，從以色列中除掉這惡。便雅憫人卻不肯聽從他們弟兄色列人的話。
14 From their towns they came together at Gibeah to fight against the Israelites.
14 도리어 성읍들로부터 기브아에 모이고 나가서 이스라엘 자손과 싸우고자 하니라
14. 便雅憫人從他們的各城裏出來，聚集到了基比亞，要與以色列人打仗。
15 At once the Benjamites mobilized twenty-six thousand swordsmen from their towns, in addition to seven hundred chosen men from those living in Gibeah.
15 그 때에 그 성읍들로부터 나온 베냐민 자손의 수는 칼을 빼는 자가 모두 이만 육천 명이요 그 외에 기브아 주민 중 택한 자가 칠백 명인데
15. 那時便雅憫人從各城裏點出拿刀的，共有二萬六千；另外還有基比亞人點出七百精兵。
16 Among all these soldiers there were seven hundred chosen men who were left-handed, each of whom could sling a stone at a hair and not miss.
16 이 모든 백성 중에서 택한 칠백 명은 다 왼손잡이라 물매로 돌을 던지면 조금도 틀림이 없는 자들이더라
16. 在衆軍之中有揀選的七百精兵，都是左手便利的，能用機弦甩石打人，毫髮不差。
17 Israel, apart from Benjamin, mustered four hundred thousand swordsmen, all of them fighting men.
17 베냐민 자손 외에 이스라엘 사람으로서 칼을 빼는 자의 수는 사십만 명이니 다 전사라
17. 便雅憫人之外，點出以色列人拿刀的，共有四十萬，都是戰士。
18 The Israelites went up to Bethel and inquired of God. They said, "Who of us shall go first to fight against the Benjamites?" The LORD replied, "Judah shall go first."
18 이스라엘 자손이 일어나 벧엘에 올라가서 하나님께 여쭈어 이르되 우리 중에 누가 먼저 올라가서 베냐민 자손과 싸우리이까 하니 여호와께서 말씀하시되 유다가 먼저 갈지니라 하시니라
18. 以色列人就起來，到伯特利去求問神說：我們中間誰當首先上去與便雅憫人爭戰呢？耶和華說：猶大當先上去。
19 The next morning the Israelites got up and pitched camp near Gibeah.
19 이스라엘 자손이 아침에 일어나 기브아를 대하여 진을 치니라
19. 以色列人早晨起來，對著基比亞安營。
20 The men of Israel went out to fight the Benjamites and took up battle positions against them at Gibeah.
20 이스라엘 사람이 나가 베냐민과 싸우려고 전열을 갖추고 기브아에서 그들과 싸우고자 하매
20. 以色列人出來，要與便雅憫人打仗，就在基比亞前擺陣。
21 The Benjamites came out of Gibeah and cut down twenty-two thousand Israelites on the battlefield that day.
21 베냐민 자손이 기브아에서 나와서 당일에 이스라엘 사람 이만 이천 명을 땅에 엎드러뜨렸으나
21. 便雅憫人就從基比亞出來，當日殺死以色列人二萬二千。
22 But the men of Israel encouraged one another and again took up their positions where they had stationed themselves the first day.
22 이스라엘 사람들이 스스로 용기를 내어 첫날 전열을 갖추었던 곳에서 다시 전열을 갖추니라
22. 以色列人彼此奮勇，仍在頭一日擺陣的地方又擺陣。
23 The Israelites went up and wept before the LORD until evening, and they inquired of the LORD. They said, "Shall we go up again to battle against the Benjamites, our brothers?" The LORD answered, "Go up against them."
23 이스라엘 자손이 올라가 여호와 앞에서 저물도록 울며 여호와께 여쭈어 이르되 내가 다시 나아가서 내 형제 베냐민 자손과 싸우리이까 하니 여호와께서 말씀하시되 올라가서 치라 하시니라
23. 未擺陣之先，以色列人上去，在耶和華面前哭號，直到晩上，求問耶和華說：我們再去與我們弟兄便雅憫人打仗以不可以？耶和華說：可以上去攻擊他們。
24 Then the Israelites drew near to Benjamin the second day.
24 그 이튿날에 이스라엘 자손이 베냐민 자손을 치러 나아가매
24. 第二日，以色列人就上前攻擊便雅憫人。
25 This time, when the Benjamites came out from Gibeah to oppose them, they cut down another eighteen thousand Israelites, all of them armed with swords.
25 베냐민도 그 이튿날에 기브아에서 그들을 치러 나와서 다시 이스라엘 자손 만 팔천 명을 땅에 엎드러뜨렸으니 다 칼을 빼는 자였더라
25. 便雅憫人也在這日從基比亞出來，與以色列人接戰，又殺死他們一萬八千，都是拿刀的。
26 Then the Israelites, all the people, went up to Bethel, and there they sat weeping before the LORD. They fasted that day until evening and presented burnt offerings and fellowship offerings to the LORD.
26 이에 온 이스라엘 자손 모든 백성이 올라가 벧엘에 이르러 울며 거기서 여호와 앞에 앉아서 그 날이 저물도록 금식하고 번제와 화목제를 여호와 앞에 드리고
26. 以色列衆人就上到伯特利，坐在耶和華面前哭號，當日禁食直到晩上；又在耶和華面前獻燔祭和平安祭。
27 And the Israelites inquired of the LORD. (In those days the ark of the covenant of God was there,
27 이스라엘 자손이 여호와께 물으니라 그 때에는 하나님의 언약궤가 거기 있고
27. 那時，神的約櫃在那裏；亞倫的孫子、以利亞撒的兒子非尼哈侍立在約櫃前。以色列人問耶和華說：我們當再出與我們弟兄便雅憫人打仗呢？還是罷兵呢？耶和華說：們當上去，因爲明日我必將他們交在你們手中。
28 with Phinehas son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, ministering before it.) They asked, "Shall we go up again to battle with Benjamin our brother, or not?" The LORD responded, "Go, for tomorrow I will give them into your hands."
28 아론의 손자인 엘르아살의 아들 비느하스가 그 앞에 모시고 섰더라 이스라엘 자손들이 여쭈기를 우리가 다시 나아가 내 형제 베냐민 자손과 싸우리이까 말리이까 하니 여호와께서 이르시되 올라가라 내일은 내가 그를 네 손에 넘겨 주리라 하시는지라

29 Then Israel set an ambush around Gibeah.
29 이스라엘이 기브아 주위에 군사를 매복하니라
29. 以色列人在基比亞的四圍設下伏兵。
30 They went up against the Benjamites on the third day and took up positions against Gibeah as they had done before.
30 이스라엘 자손이 셋째 날에 베냐민 자손을 치러 올라가서 전과 같이 기브아에 맞서 전열을 갖추매
30. 第三日，以色列人又上去攻擊便雅憫人，在基比亞前擺陣，與前兩次一樣。
31 The Benjamites came out to meet them and were drawn away from the city. They began to inflict casualties on the Israelites as before, so that about thirty men fell in the open field and on the roads--the one leading to Bethel and the other to Gibeah.
31 베냐민 자손이 나와서 백성을 맞더니 꾀임에 빠져 성읍을 떠났더라 그들이 큰 길 곧 한쪽은 벧엘로 올라가는 길이요 한쪽은 기브아의 들로 가는 길에서 백성을 쳐서 전과 같이 이스라엘 사람 삼십 명 가량을 죽이기 시작하며
31. 便雅憫人也出來迎敵，就被引誘離城；在田間兩條路上，一通伯特利，一通基比亞，像前兩次，動手殺死以色列約有三十個。
32 While the Benjamites were saying, "We are defeating them as before," the Israelites were saying, "Let's retreat and draw them away from the city to the roads."
32 베냐민 자손이 스스로 이르기를 이들이 처음과 같이 우리 앞에서 패한다 하나 이스라엘 자손은 이르기를 우리가 도망하여 그들을 성읍에서 큰 길로 꾀어 내자 하고
32. 便雅憫人說：他們仍舊敗在我們面前。但以色列人說：我們不如逃跑，引誘他們離開城到路上來。
33 All the men of Israel moved from their places and took up positions at Baal Tamar, and the Israelite ambush charged out of its place on the west of Gibeah.
33 이스라엘 사람이 모두 그들의 처소에서 일어나서 바알다말에서 전열을 갖추었고 이스라엘의 복병은 그 장소 곧 기브아 초장에서 쏟아져 나왔더라
33. 以色列衆人都起來，在巴力他瑪擺陣，以色列的伏兵從馬利迦巴埋伏的地方衝上前去。
34 Then ten thousand of Israel's finest men made a frontal attack on Gibeah. The fighting was so heavy that the Benjamites did not realize how near disaster was.
34 온 이스라엘 사람 중에서 택한 사람 만 명이 기브아에 이르러 치매 싸움이 치열하나 베냐민 사람은 화가 자기에게 미친 줄을 알지 못하였더라
34. 有以色列人中的一萬精兵，來到基比亞前接戰，勢派甚是凶猛；便雅憫人卻不知道災禍臨近了。
35 The LORD defeated Benjamin before Israel, and on that day the Israelites struck down 25,100 Benjamites, all armed with swords.
35 여호와께서 이스라엘 앞에서 베냐민을 치시매 당일에 이스라엘 자손이 베냐민 사람 이만 오천 백 명을 죽였으니 다 칼을 빼는 자였더라
35. 耶和華使以色列人殺敗便雅憫人。那日，以色列人殺死便雅憫人二萬五千一百，都是拿刀的。
36 Then the Benjamites saw that they were beaten. Now the men of Israel had given way before Benjamin, because they relied on the ambush they had set near Gibeah.
36 이에 베냐민 자손이 자기가 패한 것을 깨달았으니 이는 이스라엘 사람이 기브아에 매복한 군사를 믿고 잠깐 베냐민 사람 앞을 피하매
36. 於是便雅憫人知道自己敗了。先是以色列人；因爲靠著在基比亞前所設的伏兵，就在便雅憫人面前詐敗。
37 The men who had been in ambush made a sudden dash into Gibeah, spread out and put the whole city to the sword.
37 복병이 급히 나와 기브아로 돌격하고 나아가며 칼날로 온 성읍을 쳤음이더라
37. 伏兵急忙闖進基比亞，用刀殺死全城的人。
38 The men of Israel had arranged with the ambush that they should send up a great cloud of smoke from the city,
38 처음에 이스라엘 사람과 복병 사이에 약속하기를 성읍에서 큰 연기가 치솟는 것으로 군호를 삼자 하고
38. 以色列人豫先同伏兵約定在城內放火，以煙氣上騰爲號。
39 and then the men of Israel would turn in the battle. The Benjamites had begun to inflict casualties on the men of Israel (about thirty), and they said, "We are defeating them as in the first battle."
39 이스라엘 사람은 싸우다가 물러가고 베냐민 사람은 이스라엘 사람 삼십 명 가량을 쳐죽이기를 시작하며 이르기를 이들이 틀림없이 처음 싸움 같이 우리에게 패한다 하다가
39. 以色列人臨退陣的時候，便雅憫人動手殺死以色列人，約有三十個，就說：他們仍像前次被我們殺敗了。
40 But when the column of smoke began to rise from the city, the Benjamites turned and saw the smoke of the whole city going up into the sky.
40 연기 구름이 기둥 같이 성읍 가운데에서 치솟을 때에 베냐민 사람이 뒤를 돌아보매 온 성읍에 연기가 하늘에 닿았고
40. 當煙氣如柱從城中上騰的時候，便雅憫人回頭觀看，見全城的煙氣沖天。
41 Then the men of Israel turned on them, and the men of Benjamin were terrified, because they realized that disaster had come upon them.
41 이스라엘 사람은 돌아서는지라 베냐민 사람들이 화가 자기들에게 미친 것을 보고 심히 놀라
41. 以色列人又轉身回來，便雅憫人就甚驚惶，因爲看見災禍臨到自己了。
42 So they fled before the Israelites in the direction of the desert, but they could not escape the battle. And the men of Israel who came out of the towns cut them down there.
42 이스라엘 사람 앞에서 몸을 돌려 광야 길로 향하였으나 군사가 급히 추격하며 각 성읍에서 나온 자를 그 가운데에서 진멸 하니라
42. 他們在以色列人面前轉身往曠野逃跑；以色列人在後面追殺。那從各城裏出來的，也都夾攻殺滅他們。
43 They surrounded the Benjamites, chased them and easily overran them in the vicinity of Gibeah on the east.
43 그들이 베냐민 사람을 에워싸고 기브아 앞 동쪽까지 추격하며 그 쉬는 곳에서 짓밟으매
43. 以色列人圍繞便雅憫人，追趕他們，在他們歇脚之處、對著日出之地的基比亞踐踏他們。

4 Eighteen thousand Benjamites fell, all of them valiant fighters.
44 베냐민 중에서 엎드러진 자가 만 팔천 명이니 다 용사더라
44. 便雅憫人死了的有一萬八千，都是勇士。
45 As they turned and fled toward the desert to the rock of Rimmon, the Israelites cut down five thousand men along the roads. They kept pressing after the Benjamites as far as Gidom and struck down two thousand more.
45 그들이 몸을 돌려 광야로 도망하였으나 림몬 바위에 이르는 큰 길에서 이스라엘이 또 오천 명을 이삭 줍듯 하고 또 급히 그 뒤를 따라 기돔에 이르러 또 이천 명을 죽였으니
45. 其餘的人轉身向曠野逃跑，往臨門磐去。以色列人在道路上殺了他們五千人，如拾取遺穗一樣，追到基頓又殺了們二千人。
46 On that day twenty-five thousand Benjamite swordsmen fell, all of them valiant fighters.
46 이 날에 베냐민 사람으로서 칼을 빼는 자가 엎드러진 것이 모두 이만 오천 명이니 다 용사였더라
46. 那日便雅憫死了的共有二萬五千人，都是拿刀的勇士。
47 But six hundred men turned and fled into the desert to the rock of Rimmon, where they stayed four months.
47 베냐민 사람 육백 명이 돌이켜 광야로 도망하여 림몬 바위에 이르러 거기에서 넉 달 동안을 지냈더라
47. 只剩下六百人，轉身向曠野逃跑，到了臨門磐，就在那裏住了四個月。

8 The men of Israel went back to Benjamin and put all the towns to the sword, including the animals and everything else they found. All the towns they came across they set on fire.
48 이스라엘 사람이 베냐민 자손에게로 돌아와서 온 성읍과 가축과 만나는 자를 다 칼날로 치고 닥치는 성읍은 모두 다 불살랐더라
48. 以色列人又轉到便雅憫地，將各城的人和牲畜，並一切所遇見的，都用刀殺盡，又放火燒了一切城邑。
