1 The Pharisees and some of the teachers of the law who had come from Jerusalem gathered around Jesus and
1 바리새인들과 또 서기관 중 몇이 예루살렘에서 와서 예수께 모여들었다가
1. 有法利賽人和幾個文士從耶路撒冷來，到耶穌那裏聚集。
2 saw some of his disciples eating food with hands that were "unclean," that is, unwashed.
2 그의 제자 중 몇 사람이 부정한 손 곧 씻지 아니한 손으로 떡 먹는 것을 보았더라
2. 他們曾看見他的門徒中有人用俗手，就是沒有洗的手，喫飯。
3 (The Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they give their hands a ceremonial washing, holding to the tradition of the elders.
3 (바리새인들과 모든 유대인들은 장로들의 전통을 지키어 손을 잘 씻지 않고서는 음식을 먹지 아니하며
3. （原來法利賽人和猶太人都拘守古人的遺傳，若不仔細洗手就不喫飯；
4 When they come from the marketplace they do not eat unless they wash. And they observe many other traditions, such as the washing of cups, pitchers and kettles.)
4 또 시장에서 돌아와서도 물을 뿌리지 않고서는 먹지 아니하며 그 외에도 여러 가지를 지키어 오는 것이 있으니 잔과 주발과 놋그릇을 씻음이러라)
4. 從市上來，若不洗浴也不喫飯；還有好些別的規矩，他們歷代拘守，就是洗杯、罐、銅器等物。）
5 So the Pharisees and teachers of the law asked Jesus, "Why don't your disciples live according to the tradition of the elders instead of eating their food with 'unclean' hands?"
5 이에 바리새인들과 서기관들이 예수께 묻되 어찌하여 당신의 제자들은 장로들의 전통을 준행하지 아니하고 부정한 손으로 떡을 먹나이까
5. 法利賽人和文士問他說：你的門徒爲甚麽不照古人的遺傳，用俗手喫飯呢？
6 He replied, "Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: "'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.
6 이르시되 이사야가 너희 외식하는 자에 대하여 잘 예언하였도다 기록하였으되 이 백성이 입술로는 나를 공경하되 마음은 내게서 멀도다
6. 耶穌說：以賽亞指著你們假冒爲善之人所說的豫言是不錯的。如經上說：這百姓用嘴唇尊敬我，心卻遠離我。
7 They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.'
7 사람의 계명으로 교훈을 삼아 가르치니 나를 헛되이 경배하는도다 하였느니라
7. 他們將人的吩咐當作道理敎導人，所以拜我也是枉然。
8 You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men."
8 너희가 하나님의 계명은 버리고 사람의 전통을 지키느니라
8. 你們是離棄神的誡命，拘守人的遺傳；
9 And he said to them: "You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions!
9 또 이르시되 너희가 너희 전통을 지키려고 하나님의 계명을 잘 저버리는도다
9. 又說：你們誠然是廢棄神的誡命，要守自己的遺傳。
10 For Moses said, 'Honor your father and your mother,' and, 'Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.'
10 모세는 네 부모를 공경하라 하고 또 아버지나 어머니를 모욕하는 자는 죽임을 당하리라 하였거늘
10. 摩西說：當孝敬父母；又說：咒罵父母的，必治死他。
11 But you say that if a man says to his father or mother: 'Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is Corban' (that is, a gift devoted to God),
11 너희는 이르되 사람이 아버지에게나 어머니에게나 말하기를 내가 드려 유익하게 할 것이 고르반 곧 하나님께 드림이 되었다고 하기만 하면 그만이라 하고
11. 你們倒說：人若對父母說：我所當奉給你的，已經作了各耳板（各耳板就是供獻的意思），
12 then you no longer let him do anything for his father or mother.
12 자기 아버지나 어머니에게 다시 아무 것도 하여 드리기를 허락하지 아니하여
12. 以後你們就不容他再奉養父母。
13 Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that."
13 너희가 전한 전통으로 하나님의 말씀을 폐하며 또 이같은 일을 많이 행하느니라 하시고
13. 這就是你們承接遺傳，廢了神的道。你們還作許多這樣的事。
14 Again Jesus called the crowd to him and said, "Listen to me, everyone, and understand this.
14 무리를 다시 불러 이르시되 너희는 다 내 말을 듣고 깨달으라
14. 耶穌又叫衆人來，對他們說：你們都要聽我的話，也要明白。
15 Nothing outside a man can make him 'unclean' by going into him. Rather, it is what comes out of a man that makes him 'unclean.'"
15 무엇이든지 밖에서 사람에게로 들어가는 것은 능히 사람을 더럽게 하지 못하되
15. 從外面進去的不能汚穢人，惟有從裏面出來的乃能汚穢人。（有古卷在此有：
16 If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.
16 사람 안에서 나오는 것이 사람을 더럽게 하는 것이니라 하시고
16. 有耳可聽的，就應當聽！）
17 After he had left the crowd and entered the house, his disciples asked him about this parable.
17 무리를 떠나 집으로 들어가시니 제자들이 그 비유를 묻자온대
17. 耶穌離開衆人，進了屋子，門徒就問他這比喩的意思。
18 "Are you so dull?" he asked. "Don't you see that nothing that enters a man from the outside can make him 'unclean'?
18 예수께서 이르시되 너희도 이렇게 깨달음이 없느냐 무엇이든지 밖에서 들어가는 것이 능히 사람을 더럽게 하지 못함을 알지 못하느냐
18. 耶穌對他們說：你們也是這樣不明白麽？豈不曉得凡從外面進入的，不能汚穢人，
19 For it doesn't go into his heart but into his stomach, and then out of his body." (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods "clean.")
19 이는 마음으로 들어가지 아니하고 배로 들어가 뒤로 나감이라 이러므로 모든 음식물을 깨끗하다 하시니라
19. 因爲不是入他的心，乃是入他的肚腹，又落到茅廁裏。這是說，各樣的食物都是潔淨的；
20 He went on: "What comes out of a man is what makes him 'unclean.'
20 또 이르시되 사람에게서 나오는 그것이 사람을 더럽게 하느니라
20. 又說：從人裏面出來的，那纔能汚穢人；
21 For from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery,
21 속에서 곧 사람의 마음에서 나오는 것은 악한 생각 곧 음란과 도둑질과 살인과
21. 因爲從裏面，就是從人心裏，發出惡念、苟合、
22 greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly.
22 간음과 탐욕과 악독과 속임과 음탕과 질투와 비방과 교만과 우매함이니
22. 偸盜、兇殺、姦淫、貪婪、邪惡、詭詐、淫蕩、嫉妒、謗讟、驕傲、狂妄。
23 All these evils come from inside and make a man 'unclean.'"
23 이 모든 악한 것이 다 속에서 나와서 사람을 더럽게 하느니라
23. 這一切的惡都是從裏面出來，且能汚穢人。
24 Jesus left that place and went to the vicinity of Tyre. He entered a house and did not want anyone to know it; yet he could not keep his presence secret.
24 예수께서 일어나사 거기를 떠나 두로 지방으로 가서 한 집에 들어가 아무도 모르게 하시려 하나 숨길 수 없더라
24. 耶穌從那裏起身，往推羅、西頓的境內去，進了一家，不願意人知道，卻隱藏不住。
25 In fact, as soon as she heard about him, a woman whose little daughter was possessed by an evil spirit came and fell at his feet.
25 이에 더러운 귀신 들린 어린 딸을 둔 한 여자가 예수의 소문을 듣고 곧 와서 그 발 아래에 엎드리니
25. 當下，有一個婦人，他的小女兒被汚鬼附著，聽見耶穌的事，就來俯伏在他脚前。
26 The woman was a Greek, born in Syrian Phoenicia. She begged Jesus to drive the demon out of her daughter.
26 그 여자는 헬라인이요 수로보니게 족속이라 자기 딸에게서 귀신 쫓아내 주시기를 간구하거늘
26. 這婦人是希利尼人，屬敘利腓尼基族。他求耶穌趕出那鬼離開他的女兒。
27 "First let the children eat all they want," he told her, "for it is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs."
27 예수께서 이르시되 자녀로 먼저 배불리 먹게 할지니 자녀의 떡을 취하여 개들에게 던짐이 마땅치 아니하니라
27. 耶穌對他說：讓兒女們先喫飽，不好拿兒女的餅丢給狗喫。
28 "Yes, Lord," she replied, "but even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs."
28 여자가 대답하여 이르되 주여 옳소이다마는 상 아래 개들도 아이들이 먹던 부스러기를 먹나이다
28. 婦人回答說：主阿，不錯；但是狗在桌子底下也喫孩子們的碎渣兒。
29 Then he told her, "For such a reply, you may go; the demon has left your daughter."
29 예수께서 이르시되 이 말을 하였으니 돌아가라 귀신이 네 딸에게서 나갔느니라 하시매
29. 耶穌對他說：因這句話，你回去罷；鬼已經離開你的女兒了。
30 She went home and found her child lying on the bed, and the demon gone.
30 여자가 집에 돌아가 본즉 아이가 침상에 누웠고 귀신이 나갔더라
30. 他就回家去，見小孩子躺在床上，鬼已經出去了。
31 Then Jesus left the vicinity of Tyre and went through Sidon, down to the Sea of Galilee and into the region of the Decapolis.
31 예수께서 다시 두로 지방에서 나와 시돈을 지나고 데가볼리 지방을 통과하여 갈릴리 호수에 이르시매
31. 耶穌又離了推羅的境界，經過西頓，就從低加波利境內來到加利利海。
32 There some people brought to him a man who was deaf and could hardly talk, and they begged him to place his hand on the man.
32 사람들이 귀 먹고 말 더듬는 자를 데리고 예수께 나아와 안수하여 주시기를 간구하거늘
32. 有人帶著一個耳聾舌結的人來見耶穌，求他按手在他身上。
33 After he took him aside, away from the crowd, Jesus put his fingers into the man's ears. Then he spit and touched the man's tongue.
33 예수께서 그 사람을 따로 데리고 무리를 떠나사 손가락을 그의 양 귀에 넣고 침을 뱉어 그의 혀에 손을 대시며
33. 耶穌領他離開衆人，到一邊去，就用指頭探他的耳朵，吐唾沫抹他的舌頭，
34 He looked up to heaven and with a deep sigh said to him, "Ephphatha!" (which means, "Be opened!").
34 하늘을 우러러 탄식하시며 그에게 이르시되 에바다 하시니 이는 열리라는 뜻이라
34. 望天歎息，對他說：以法大！就是說：開了罷！
35 At this, the man's ears were opened, his tongue was loosened and he began to speak plainly.
35 그의 귀가 열리고 혀가 맺힌 것이 곧 풀려 말이 분명하여졌더라
35. 他的耳朵就開了，舌結也解了，說話也淸楚了。
36 Jesus commanded them not to tell anyone. But the more he did so, the more they kept talking about it.
36 예수께서 그들에게 경고하사 아무에게도 이르지 말라 하시되 경고하실수록 그들이 더욱 널리 전파하니
36. 耶穌囑咐他們不要告訴人；但他越發囑咐，他們越發傳揚開了。
37 People were overwhelmed with amazement. "He has done everything well," they said. "He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak."
37 사람들이 심히 놀라 이르되 그가 모든 것을 잘하였도다 못 듣는 사람도 듣게 하고 말 못하는 사람도 말하게 한다 하니라
37. 衆人分外希奇，說：他所作的事都好，他連聾子也叫他們聽見，啞罷也叫他們說話。
