1 During those days another large crowd gathered. Since they had nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples to him and said,
1 그 무렵에 또 큰 무리가 있어 먹을 것이 없는지라 예수께서 제자들을 불러 이르시되
1. 那時，又有許多人聚集，並沒有甚麽喫的。耶穌叫門徒來，說：
2 "I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat.
2 내가 무리를 불쌍히 여기노라 그들이 나와 함께 있은 지 이미 사흘이 지났으나 먹을 것이 없도다
2. 我憐憫這衆人；因爲他們同我在這裏已經三天，也沒有喫的了。
3 If I send them home hungry, they will collapse on the way, because some of them have come a long distance."
3 만일 내가 그들을 굶겨 집으로 보내면 길에서 기진하리라 그 중에는 멀리서 온 사람들도 있느니라
3. 我若打發他們餓著回家，就必在路上困乏，因爲其中有從遠處來的。
4 His disciples answered, "But where in this remote place can anyone get enough bread to feed them?"
4 제자들이 대답하되 이 광야 어디서 떡을 얻어 이 사람들로 배부르게 할 수 있으리이까
4. 門徒回答說：在這野地，從那裏能得餅，叫這些人喫飽呢？
5 "How many loaves do you have?" Jesus asked. "Seven," they replied.
5 예수께서 물으시되 너희에게 떡 몇 개나 있느냐 이르되 일곱이로소이다 하거늘
5. 耶穌問他們說：你們有多少餅？他們說：七個。
6 He told the crowd to sit down on the ground. When he had taken the seven loaves and given thanks, he broke them and gave them to his disciples to set before the people, and they did so.
6 예수께서 무리를 명하여 땅에 앉게 하시고 떡 일곱 개를 가지사 축사하시고 떼어 제자들에게 주어 나누어 주게 하시니 제자들이 무리에게 나누어 주더라
6. 他吩咐衆人坐在地上，就拿著這七個餅祝謝了，擘開，遞給門徒，叫他們擺開，門徒就擺在衆人面前。
7 They had a few small fish as well; he gave thanks for them also and told the disciples to distribute them.
7 또 작은 생선 두어 마리가 있는지라 이에 축복하시고 명하사 이것도 나누어 주게 하시니
7. 又有幾條小魚；耶穌祝了福，就吩咐也擺在衆人面前。
8 The people ate and were satisfied. Afterward the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
8 배불리 먹고 남은 조각 일곱 광주리를 거두었으며
8. 衆人都喫，並且喫飽了，收拾剩下的零碎，有七筐子。
9 About four thousand men were present. And having sent them away,
9 사람은 약 사천 명이었더라 예수께서 그들을 흩어 보내시고
9. 人數約有四千。耶穌打發他們走了，
10 he got into the boat with his disciples and went to the region of Dalmanutha.
10 곧 제자들과 함께 배에 오르사 달마누다 지방으로 가시니라
10. 隨卽同門徒上船，來到大瑪努他境內。
11 The Pharisees came and began to question Jesus. To test him, they asked him for a sign from heaven.
11 바리새인들이 나와서 예수께 힐난하며 그를 시험하여 하늘로부터 오는 표적을 구하거늘
11. 法利賽人出來盤問耶穌，求他從天上顯個神蹟給他們看，想要試探他。
12 He sighed deeply and said, "Why does this generation ask for a miraculous sign? I tell you the truth, no sign will be given to it."
12 예수께서 마음 속으로 깊이 탄식하시며 이르시되 어찌하여 이 세대가 표적을 구하느냐 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 이 세대에 표적을 주지 아니하리라 하시고
12. 耶穌心裏深深的歎息，說：這世代爲甚麽求神蹟呢？我實在告訴你們，沒有神蹟給這世代看。
13 Then he left them, got back into the boat and crossed to the other side.
13 그들을 떠나 다시 배에 올라 건너편으로 가시니라
13. 他就離開他們，又上船往海那邊去了。
14 The disciples had forgotten to bring bread, except for one loaf they had with them in the boat.
14 제자들이 떡 가져오기를 잊었으매 배에 떡 한 개밖에 그들에게 없더라
14. 門徒忘了帶餅；在船上除了一個餅，沒有別的食物。
15 "Be careful," Jesus warned them. "Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod."
15 예수께서 경고하여 이르시되 삼가 바리새인들의 누룩과 헤롯의 누룩을 주의하라 하시니
15. 耶穌囑咐他們說：你們要謹愼，防備法利賽人的酵和希律的酵。
16 They discussed this with one another and said, "It is because we have no bread."
16 제자들이 서로 수군거리기를 이는 우리에게 떡이 없음이로다 하거늘
16. 他們彼此議論說：這是因爲我們沒有餅罷。
17 Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked them: "Why are you talking about having no bread? Do you still not see or understand? Are your hearts hardened?
17 예수께서 아시고 이르시되 너희가 어찌 떡이 없음으로 수군거리느냐 아직도 알지 못하며 깨닫지 못하느냐 너희 마음이 둔하냐
17. 耶穌看出來，就說：你們爲甚麽因爲沒有餅就議論呢？你們還不省悟，還不明白麽？你們的心還是愚頑麽？
18 Do you have eyes but fail to see, and ears but fail to hear? And don't you remember?
18 너희가 눈이 있어도 보지 못하며 귀가 있어도 듣지 못하느냐 또 기억하지 못하느냐
18. 你們有眼睛，看不見麽？有耳朵，聽不見麽？也不記得麽？
19 When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many basketfuls of pieces did you pick up?" "Twelve," they replied.
19 내가 떡 다섯 개를 오천 명에게 떼어 줄 때에 조각 몇 바구니를 거두었더냐 이르되 열둘이니이다
19. 我擘開那五個餅分給五千人，你們收拾的零碎裝滿了多少籃子呢？他們說：十二個。
20 "And when I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many basketfuls of pieces did you pick up?" They answered, "Seven."
20 또 일곱 개를 사천 명에게 떼어 줄 때에 조각 몇 광주리를 거두었더냐 이르되 일곱이니이다
20. 又擘開那七個餅分給四千人，你們收拾的零碎裝滿了多少筐子呢？他們說：七個。
21 He said to them, "Do you still not understand?"
21 이르시되 아직도 깨닫지 못하느냐 하시니라
21. 耶穌說：你們還是不明白麽？
22 They came to Bethsaida, and some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him.
22 벳새다에 이르매 사람들이 맹인 한 사람을 데리고 예수께 나아와 손 대시기를 구하거늘
22. 他們來到伯賽大，有人帶一個瞎子來，求耶穌摸他。
23 He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man's eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, "Do you see anything?"
23 예수께서 맹인의 손을 붙잡으시고 마을 밖으로 데리고 나가사 눈에 침을 뱉으시며 그에게 안수하시고 무엇이 보이느냐 물으시니
23. 耶穌拉著瞎子的手，領他到村外，就吐唾沫在他眼睛上，按手在他身上，問他說：你看見甚麽了？
24 He looked up and said, "I see people; they look like trees walking around."
24 쳐다보며 이르되 사람들이 보이나이다 나무 같은 것들이 걸어 가는 것을 보나이다 하거늘
24. 他就抬頭一看，說：我看見人了；他們好像樹木，並且行走。
25 Once more Jesus put his hands on the man's eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.
25 이에 그 눈에 다시 안수하시매 그가 주목하여 보더니 나아서 모든 것을 밝히 보는지라
25. 隨後又按手在他眼睛上，他定睛一看，就復了原，樣樣都看得淸楚了。
26 Jesus sent him home, saying, "Don't go into the village."
26 예수께서 그 사람을 집으로 보내시며 이르시되 마을에는 들어가지 말라 하시니라
26. 耶穌打發他回家，說：連這村子你也不要進去。
27 Jesus and his disciples went on to the villages around Caesarea Philippi. On the way he asked them, "Who do people say I am?"
27 예수와 제자들이 빌립보 가이사랴 여러 마을로 나가실새 길에서 제자들에게 물어 이르시되 사람들이 나를 누구라고 하느냐
27. 耶穌和門徒出去，往該撒利亞腓立比的村莊去；在路上問門徒說：人說我是誰？
28 They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, one of the prophets."
28 제자들이 여짜와 이르되 세례 요한이라 하고 더러는 엘리야, 더러는 선지자 중의 하나라 하나이다
28. 他們說：有人說是施洗的約翰；有人說是以利亞；又有人說是先知裏的一位。
29 "But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?" Peter answered, "You are the Christ."
29 또 물으시되 너희는 나를 누구라 하느냐 베드로가 대답하여 이르되 주는 그리스도시니이다 하매
29. 又問他們說：你們說我是誰？彼得回答說：你是基督。
30 Jesus warned them not to tell anyone about him.
30 이에 자기의 일을 아무에게도 말하지 말라 경고하시고
30. 耶穌就禁戒他們，不要告訴人。
31 He then began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and after three days rise again.
31 인자가 많은 고난을 받고 장로들과 대제사장들과 서기관들에게 버린 바 되어 죽임을 당하고 사흘 만에 살아나야 할 것을 비로소 그들에게 가르치시되
31. 從此，他敎訓他們說：人子必須受許多的苦，被長老、祭司長，和文士棄絶，並且被殺，過三天復活。
32 He spoke plainly about this, and Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him.
32 드러내 놓고 이 말씀을 하시니 베드로가 예수를 붙들고 항변하매
32. 耶穌明明的說這話，彼得就拉著他，勸他。
33 But when Jesus turned and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter. "Get behind me, Satan!" he said. "You do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men."
33 예수께서 돌이키사 제자들을 보시며 베드로를 꾸짖어 이르시되 사탄아 내 뒤로 물러가라 네가 하나님의 일을 생각하지 아니하고 도리어 사람의 일을 생각하는도다 하시고
33. 耶穌轉過來，看著門徒，就責備彼得說：撒但，退我後邊去罷！因爲你不體貼神的意思，只體貼人的意思。
34 Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
34 무리와 제자들을 불러 이르시되 누구든지 나를 따라 오려거든 자기를 부인하고 자기 십자가를 지고 나를 따를 것이니라
34. 於是叫衆人和門徒來，對他們說：若有人要跟從我，就當捨己，背起他的十字架來跟從我。
35 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it.
35 누구든지 자기 목숨을 구원하고자 하면 잃을 것이요 누구든지 나와 복음을 위하여 자기 목숨을 잃으면 구원하리라
35. 因爲，凡要救自己生命（或作：靈魂；下同）的，必喪掉生命；凡爲我和福音喪掉生命的，必救了生命。
36 What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?
36 사람이 만일 온 천하를 얻고도 자기 목숨을 잃으면 무엇이 유익하리요
36. 人就是賺得全世界，賠上自己的生命，有甚麽益處呢？
37 Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?
37 사람이 무엇을 주고 자기 목숨과 바꾸겠느냐
37. 人還能拿甚麽換生命呢？
38 If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father's glory with the holy angels."
38 누구든지 이 음란하고 죄 많은 세대에서 나와 내 말을 부끄러워하면 인자도 아버지의 영광으로 거룩한 천사들과 함께 올 때에 그 사람을 부끄러워하리라
38. 凡在這淫亂罪惡的世代，把我和我的道當作可恥的，人子在他父的榮耀裏，同聖天使降臨的時候，也要把那人當可恥的。
