1 When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases,
1 예수께서 열두 제자를 불러 모으사 모든 귀신을 제어하며 병을 고치는 능력과 권위를 주시고
1. 耶穌叫齊了十二個門徒，給他們能力、權柄，制伏一切的鬼，醫治各樣的病，
2 and he sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.
2 하나님의 나라를 전파하며 앓는 자를 고치게 하려고 내보내시며
2. 又差遣他們去宣傳神國的道，醫治病人，
3 He told them: "Take nothing for the journey--no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra tunic.
3 이르시되 여행을 위하여 아무 것도 가지지 말라 지팡이나 배낭이나 양식이나 돈이나 두 벌 옷을 가지지 말며
3. 對他們說：行路的時候，不要帶枴杖和口袋，不要帶食物和銀子，也不要帶兩件褂子。
4 Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town.
4 어느 집에 들어가든지 거기서 머물다가 거기서 떠나라
4. 無論進那一家，就住在那裏，也從那裏起行。
5 If people do not welcome you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave their town, as a testimony against them."
5 누구든지 너희를 영접하지 아니하거든 그 성에서 떠날 때에 너희 발에서 먼지를 떨어 버려 그들에게 증거를 삼으라 하시니
5. 凡不接待你們的，你們離開那城的時候，要把脚上的塵土跥下去，見證他們的不是。
6 So they set out and went from village to village, preaching the gospel and healing people everywhere.
6 제자들이 나가 각 마을에 두루 다니며 곳곳에 복음을 전하며 병을 고치더라
6. 門徒就出去，走遍各鄕宣傳福音，到處治病。
7 Now Herod the tetrarch heard about all that was going on. And he was perplexed, because some were saying that John had been raised from the dead,
7 분봉왕 헤롯이 이 모든 일을 듣고 심히 당황하여 하니 이는 어떤 사람은 요한이 죽은 자 가운데서 살아났다고도 하며
7. 分封的王希律聽見耶穌所作的一切事，就游移不定；因爲有人說：是約翰從死裏復活；
8 others that Elijah had appeared, and still others that one of the prophets of long ago had come back to life.
8 어떤 사람은 엘리야가 나타났다고도 하며 어떤 사람은 옛 선지자 한 사람이 다시 살아났다고도 함이라
8. 又有人說：是以利亞顯現；還有人說：是古時的一個先知又活了。
9 But Herod said, "I beheaded John. Who, then, is this I hear such things about?" And he tried to see him.
9 헤롯이 이르되 요한은 내가 목을 베었거늘 이제 이런 일이 들리니 이 사람이 누군가 하며 그를 보고자 하더라
9. 希律說：約翰我已經斬了，這卻是甚麽人？我竟聽見他這樣的事呢？就想要見他。
10 When the apostles returned, they reported to Jesus what they had done. Then he took them with him and they withdrew by themselves to a town called Bethsaida,
10 사도들이 돌아와 자기들이 행한 모든 것을 예수께 여쭈니 데리시고 따로 벳새다라는 고을로 떠나 가셨으나
10. 使徒回來，將所作的事告訴耶穌，耶穌就帶他們暗暗的離開那裏，往一座城去；那城名叫伯賽大。
11 but the crowds learned about it and followed him. He welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing.
11 무리가 알고 따라왔거늘 예수께서 그들을 영접하사 하나님 나라의 일을 이야기하시며 병 고칠 자들은 고치시더라
11. 但衆人知道了，就跟著他去；耶穌便接待他們，對他們講論神國的道，醫治那些需醫的人。
12 Late in the afternoon the Twelve came to him and said, "Send the crowd away so they can go to the surrounding villages and countryside and find food and lodging, because we are in a remote place here."
12 날이 저물어 가매 열두 사도가 나아와 여짜오되 무리를 보내어 두루 마을과 촌으로 가서 유하며 먹을 것을 얻게 하소서 우리가 있는 여기는 빈 들이니이다
12. 日頭快要平西，十二個門徒來對他說：請叫衆人散開，他們好往四面鄕村裏去借宿找喫的，因爲我們這裏是野地。
13 He replied, "You give them something to eat." They answered, "We have only five loaves of bread and two fish--unless we go and buy food for all this crowd."
13 예수께서 이르시되 너희가 먹을 것을 주라 하시니 여짜오되 우리에게 떡 다섯 개와 물고기 두 마리 밖에 없으니 이 모든 사람을 위하여 먹을 것을 사지 아니하고서는 할 수 없사옵나이다 하니
13. 耶穌說：你們給他們喫罷！門徒說：我們不過有五個餅，兩條魚，若不去爲這許多人買食物就不彀。
14 (About five thousand men were there.) But he said to his disciples, "Have them sit down in groups of about fifty each."
14 이는 남자가 한 오천 명 됨이러라 제자들에게 이르시되 떼를 지어 한 오십 명씩 앉히라 하시니
14. 那時，人數約有五千。耶穌對門徒說：叫他們一排一排的坐下，每排大約五十個人。
15 The disciples did so, and everybody sat down.
15 제자들이 이렇게 하여 다 앉힌 후
15. 門徒就如此行，叫衆人都坐下。
16 Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke them. Then he gave them to the disciples to set before the people.
16 예수께서 떡 다섯 개와 물고기 두 마리를 가지사 하늘을 우러러 축사하시고 떼어 제자들에게 주어 무리 앞에 놓게 하시니
16. 耶穌拿著這五個餅，兩條魚，望著天祝福，擘開，遞給門徒，擺在衆人面前。
17 They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
17 먹고 다 배불렀더라 그 남은 조각을 열두 바구니를 거두니라
17. 他們就喫，並且都喫飽了；把剩下的零碎收拾起來，裝滿了十二籃子。
18 Once when Jesus was praying in private and his disciples were with him, he asked them, "Who do the crowds say I am?"
18 예수께서 따로 기도하실 때에 제자들이 주와 함께 있더니 물어 이르시되 무리가 나를 누구라고 하느냐
18. 耶穌自己禱告的時候，門徒也同他在那裏。耶穌問他們說：衆人說我是誰？
19 They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, that one of the prophets of long ago has come back to life."
19 대답하여 이르되 세례 요한이라 하고 더러는 엘리야라, 더러는 옛 선지자 중의 한 사람이 살아났다 하나이다
19. 他們說：有人說是施洗的約翰；有人說是以利亞；還有人說是古時的一個先知又活了。
20 "But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?" Peter answered, "The Christ of God."
20 예수께서 이르시되 너희는 나를 누구라 하느냐 베드로가 대답하여 이르되 하나님의 그리스도시니이다 하니
20. 耶穌說：你們說我是誰？彼得回答說：是神所立的基督。
21 Jesus strictly warned them not to tell this to anyone.
21 경고하사 이 말을 아무에게도 이르지 말라 명하시고
21. 耶穌切切的囑咐他們，不可將這事告訴人，
22 And he said, "The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life."
22 이르시되 인자가 많은 고난을 받고 장로들과 대제사장들과 서기관들에게 버린 바 되어 죽임을 당하고 제삼일에 살아나야 하리라 하시고
22. 又說：人子必須受許多的苦，被長老、祭司長、和文士棄絶，並且被殺，第三日復活。
23 Then he said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.
23 또 무리에게 이르시되 아무든지 나를 따라오려거든 자기를 부인하고 날마다 제 십자가를 지고 나를 따를 것이니라
23. 耶穌又對衆人說：若有人要跟從我，就當捨己，天天背起他的十字架來跟從我。
24 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.
24 누구든지 제 목숨을 구원하고자 하면 잃을 것이요 누구든지 나를 위하여 제 목숨을 잃으면 구원하리라
24. 因爲，凡要救自己生命（生命：或作靈魂；下同）的，必喪掉生命；凡爲我喪掉生命的，必救了生命。
25 What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self?
25 사람이 만일 온 천하를 얻고도 자기를 잃든지 빼앗기든지 하면 무엇이 유익하리요
25. 人若賺得全世界，卻喪了自己，賠上自己，有甚麽益處呢？
26 If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.
26 누구든지 나와 내 말을 부끄러워하면 인자도 자기와 아버지와 거룩한 천사들의 영광으로 올 때에 그 사람을 부끄러워하리라
26. 凡把我和我的道當作可恥的，人子在自己的榮耀裏，並天父與聖天使的榮耀裏降臨的時候，也要把那人當作可恥。
27 I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God."
27 내가 참으로 너희에게 이르노니 여기 서 있는 사람 중에 죽기 전에 하나님의 나라를 볼 자들도 있느니라
27. 我實在告訴你們，站在這裏的，有人在沒嘗死味以前，必看見神的國。
28 About eight days after Jesus said this, he took Peter, John and James with him and went up onto a mountain to pray.
28 이 말씀을 하신 후 팔 일쯤 되어 예수께서 베드로와 요한과 야고보를 데리고 기도하시러 산에 올라가사
28. 說了這話以後約有八天，耶穌帶著彼得、約翰、雅各上山去禱告。
29 As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning.
29 기도하실 때에 용모가 변화되고 그 옷이 희어져 광채가 나더라
29. 正禱告的時候，他的面貌就改變了，衣服潔白放光。
30 Two men, Moses and Elijah,
30 문득 두 사람이 예수와 함께 말하니 이는 모세와 엘리야라
30. 忽然有摩西、以利亞兩個人同耶穌說話；
31 appeared in glorious splendor, talking with Jesus. They spoke about his departure, which he was about to bring to fulfillment at Jerusalem.
31 영광 중에 나타나서 장차 예수께서 예루살렘에서 별세하실 것을 말할새
31. 他們在榮光裏顯現，談論耶穌去世的事，就是他在耶路撒冷將要成的事。
32 Peter and his companions were very sleepy, but when they became fully awake, they saw his glory and the two men standing with him.
32 베드로와 및 함께 있는 자들이 깊이 졸다가 온전히 깨어나 예수의 영광과 및 함께 선 두 사람을 보더니
32. 彼得和他的同伴都打盹，旣淸醒了，就看見耶穌的榮光，並同他站著的那兩個人。
33 As the men were leaving Jesus, Peter said to him, "Master, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters--one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah." (He did not know what he was saying.)
33 두 사람이 떠날 때에 베드로가 예수께 여짜오되 주여 우리가 여기 있는 것이 좋사오니 우리가 초막 셋을 짓되 하나는 주를 위하여, 하나는 모세를 위하여, 하나는 엘리야를 위하여 하사이다 하되 자기가 하는 말을 자기도 알지 못하더라
33. 二人正要和耶穌分離的時候，彼得對耶穌說：夫子，我們在這裏眞好！可以搭三座棚，一座爲你，一座爲摩西，座爲以利亞。他卻不知道所說的是甚麽。
34 While he was speaking, a cloud appeared and enveloped them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud.
34 이 말 할 즈음에 구름이 와서 그들을 덮는지라 구름 속으로 들어갈 때에 그들이 무서워하더니
34. 說這話的時候，有一朵雲彩來遮蓋他們；他們進入雲彩裏就懼怕。
35 A voice came from the cloud, saying, "This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to him."
35 구름 속에서 소리가 나서 이르되 이는 나의 아들 곧 택함을 받은 자니 너희는 그의 말을 들으라 하고
35. 有聲音從雲彩裏出來，說：這是我的兒子，我所揀選的（有古卷：這是我的愛子），你們要聽他。
36 When the voice had spoken, they found that Jesus was alone. The disciples kept this to themselves, and told no one at that time what they had seen.
36 소리가 그치매 오직 예수만 보이더라 제자들이 잠잠하여 그 본 것을 무엇이든지 그 때에는 아무에게도 이르지 아니하니라
36. 聲音住了，只見耶穌一人在那裏。當那些日子，門徒不提所看見的事，一樣也不告訴人。
37 The next day, when they came down from the mountain, a large crowd met him.
37 이튿날 산에서 내려오시니 큰 무리가 맞을새
37. 第二天，他們下了山，就有許多人迎見耶穌。
38 A man in the crowd called out, "Teacher, I beg you to look at my son, for he is my only child.
38 무리 중의 한 사람이 소리 질러 이르되 선생님 청컨대 내 아들을 돌보아 주옵소서 이는 내 외아들이니이다
38. 其中有一人喊叫說：夫子！求你看顧我的兒子，因爲他是我的獨生子。
39 A spirit seizes him and he suddenly screams; it throws him into convulsions so that he foams at the mouth. It scarcely ever leaves him and is destroying him.
39 귀신이 그를 잡아 갑자기 부르짖게 하고 경련을 일으켜 거품을 흘리게 하며 몹시 상하게 하고야 겨우 떠나가나이다
39. 他被鬼抓住就忽然喊叫；鬼又叫他抽瘋，口中流沫，並且重重的傷害他，難以離開他。
40 I begged your disciples to drive it out, but they could not."
40 당신의 제자들에게 내쫓아 주기를 구하였으나 그들이 능히 못하더이다
40. 我求過你的門徒，把鬼趕出去，他們卻是不能。
41 "O unbelieving and perverse generation," Jesus replied, "how long shall I stay with you and put up with you? Bring your son here."
41 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 믿음이 없고 패역한 세대여 내가 얼마나 너희와 함께 있으며 너희에게 참으리요 네 아들을 이리로 데리고 오라 하시니
41. 耶穌說：噯！這又不信又悖謬的世代阿，我在你們這裏，忍耐你們要到幾時呢？將你的兒子帶到這裏來罷！
42 Even while the boy was coming, the demon threw him to the ground in a convulsion. But Jesus rebuked the evil spirit, healed the boy and gave him back to his father.
42 올 때에 귀신이 거꾸러뜨리고 심한 경련을 일으키게 하는지라 예수께서 더러운 귀신을 꾸짖으시고 아이를 낫게 하사 그 아버지에게 도로 주시니
42. 正來的時候，鬼把他摔倒，叫他重重的抽瘋。耶穌就斥責那汚鬼，把孩子治好了，交給他父親。
43 And they were all amazed at the greatness of God. While everyone was marveling at all that Jesus did, he said to his disciples,
43 사람들이 다 하나님의 위엄에 놀라니라 그들이 다 그 행하시는 모든 일을 놀랍게 여길새 예수께서 제자들에게 이르시되
43. 衆人都詫異神的大能（大能：或作威榮）。耶穌所作的一切事，衆人正希奇的時候，耶穌對門徒說：
44 "Listen carefully to what I am about to tell you: The Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men."
44 이 말을 너희 귀에 담아 두라 인자가 장차 사람들의 손에 넘겨지리라 하시되
44. 你們要把這些話存在耳中，因爲人子將要被交在人手裏。
45 But they did not understand what this meant. It was hidden from them, so that they did not grasp it, and they were afraid to ask him about it.
45 그들이 이 말씀을 알지 못하니 이는 그들로 깨닫지 못하게 숨긴 바 되었음이라 또 그들은 이 말씀을 묻기도 두려워하더라
45. 他們不明白這話，意思乃是隱藏的，叫他們不能明白，他們也不敢問這話的意思。
46 An argument started among the disciples as to which of them would be the greatest.
46 제자 중에서 누가 크냐 하는 변론이 일어나니
46. 門徒中間起了議論，誰將爲大。
47 Jesus, knowing their thoughts, took a little child and had him stand beside him.
47 예수께서 그 마음에 변론하는 것을 아시고 어린 아아 하나를 데려다가 자기 곁에 세우시고
47. 耶穌看出他們心中的議論，就領一個小孩子來，叫他站在自己旁邊，
48 Then he said to them, "Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For he who is least among you all--he is the greatest."
48 그들에게 이르시되 누구든지 내 이름으로 이런 어린 아이를 영접하면 곧 나를 영접함이요 또 누구든지 나를 영접하면 곧 나를 보내신 이를 영접함이라 너희 모든 사람 중에 가장 작은 그가 큰 자니라
48. 對他們說：凡爲我名接待這小孩子的，就是接待我；凡接待我的，就是接待那差我來的。你們中間最小的，他便大。
49 "Master," said John, "we saw a man driving out demons in your name and we tried to stop him, because he is not one of us."
49 요한이 여짜오되 주여 어떤 사람이 주의 이름으로 귀신을 내쫓는 것을 우리가 보고 우리와 함께 따르지 아니하므로 금하였나이다
49. 約翰說：夫子，我們看見一個人奉你的名趕鬼，我們就禁止他，因爲他不與我們一同跟從你。
50 "Do not stop him," Jesus said, "for whoever is not against you is for you."
50 예수께서 이르시되 금하지 말라 너희를 반대하지 않는 자는 너희를 위하는 자니라 하시니라
50. 耶穌說：不要禁止他；因爲不敵擋你們的，就是幇助你們的。
51 As the time approached for him to be taken up to heaven, Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem.
51 예수께서 승천하실 기약이 차가매 예루살렘을 향하여 올라가기로 굳게 결심하시고
51. 耶穌被接上升的日子將到，他就定意向耶路撒冷去，
52 And he sent messengers on ahead, who went into a Samaritan village to get things ready for him;
52 사자들을 앞서 보내시매 그들이 가서 예수를 위하여 준비하려고 사마리아인의 한 마을에 들어갔더니
52. 便打發使者在他前頭走。他們到了撒瑪利亞的一個村莊，要爲他豫備。
53 but the people there did not welcome him, because he was heading for Jerusalem.
53 예수께서 예루살렘을 향하여 가시기 때문에 그들이 받아들이지 아니하는지라
53. 那裏的人不接待他，因他面向耶路撒冷去。
54 When the disciples James and John saw this, they asked, "Lord, do you want us to call fire down from heaven to destroy them?"
54 제자 야고보와 요한이 이를 보고 이르되 주여 우리가 불을 명하여 하늘로 부터 내려 저들을 멸하라 하기를 원하시나이까
54. 他的門徒雅各、約翰看見了，就說：主阿，你要我們吩咐火從天上降下來燒滅他們，像以利亞所作的（有古卷無像以利亞所作的」數字）麽？
55 But Jesus turned and rebuked them,
55 예수께서 돌아보시며 꾸짖으시고
55. 耶穌轉身責備兩個門徒，說：你們的心如何，你們並不知道。
56 and they went to another village.
56 함께 다른 마을으로 가시니라
56. 人子來不是要滅人的性命（或作：靈魂；下同），是要救人的性命。說著就往別的村莊去了（有古卷只有五十五首句，五十六節末句）。
57 As they were walking along the road, a man said to him, "I will follow you wherever you go."
57 길 가실 때에 어떤 사람이 여짜오되 어디로 가시든지 나는 따르리이다
57. 他們走路的時候，有一人對耶穌說：你無論往那裏去，我要跟從你。
58 Jesus replied, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head."
58 예수께서 이르시되 여우도 굴이 있고 공중의 새도 집이 있으되 인자는 머리 둘 곳이 없도다 하시고
58. 耶穌說：狐狸有洞，天空的飛鳥有窩，只是人子沒有枕頭的地方。
59 He said to another man, "Follow me." But the man replied, "Lord, first let me go and bury my father."
59 또 다른 사람에게 나를 따르라 하시니 그가 이르되 나로 먼저 가서 내 아버지를 장사하게 허락하옵소서
59. 又對一個人說：跟從我來！那人說：主，容我先回去埋葬我的父親。
60 Jesus said to him, "Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God."
60 이르시되 죽은 자들로 자기의 죽은 자들을 장사하게 하고 너는 가서 하나님의 나라를 전파하라 하시고
60. 耶穌說：任憑死人埋葬他們的死人，你只管去傳揚神國的道。
61 Still another said, "I will follow you, Lord; but first let me go back and say good-by to my family."
61 또 다른 사람이 이르되 주여 내가 주를 따르겠나이다마는 나로 먼저 내 가족을 작별하게 허락하소서
61. 又有一人說：主，我要跟從你，但容我先去辭別我家裏的人。
62 Jesus replied, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God."
62 예수께서 이르시되 손에 쟁기를 잡고 뒤를 돌아보는 자는 하나님의 나라에 합당하지 아니하니라 하시니라
62. 耶穌說：手扶著犂向後看的，不配進神的國。
