1 I am the man who has seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.
1 여호와의 분노의 매로 말미암아 고난 당한 자는 나로다
1. 我是因耶和華忿怒的杖，遭遇困苦的人。
2 He has driven me away and made me walk in darkness rather than light;
2 나를 이끌어 어둠 안에서 걸어가게 하시고 빛 안에서 걸어가지 못하게 하셨으며
2. 他引導我，使我行在黑暗中，不行在光明裏。
3 indeed, he has turned his hand against me again and again, all day long.
3 종일토록 손을 들어 자주자주 나를 치시는도다
3. 他眞是終日再三反手攻擊我。
4 He has made my skin and my flesh grow old and has broken my bones.
4 나의 살과 가죽을 쇠하게 하시며 나의 뼈들을 꺾으셨고
4. 他使我的皮肉枯乾；他折斷（或譯：壓傷）我的骨頭。
5 He has besieged me and surrounded me with bitterness and hardship.
5 고통과 수고를 쌓아 나를 에우셨으며
5. 他築壘攻擊我，用苦楚（原文是苦膽）和艱難圍困我。
6 He has made me dwell in darkness like those long dead.
6 나를 어둠 속에 살게 하시기를 죽은지 오랜 자 같게 하셨도다
6. 他使我住在幽暗之處，像死了許久的人一樣。
7 He has walled me in so I cannot escape; he has weighed me down with chains.
7 나를 둘러싸서 나가지 못하게 하시고 내 사슬을 무겁게 하셨으며
7. 他用籬笆圍住我，使我不能出去；他使我的銅鍊沉重。
8 Even when I call out or cry for help, he shuts out my prayer.
8 내가 부르짖어 도움을 구하나 내 기도를 물리치시며
8. 我哀號求救；他使我的禱告不得上達。
9 He has barred my way with blocks of stone; he has made my paths crooked.
9 다듬은 돌을 쌓아 내 길들을 막으사 내 길들을 굽게 하셨도다
9. 他用鑿過的石頭擋住我的道；他使我的路彎曲。
10 Like a bear lying in wait, like a lion in hiding,
10 그는 내게 대하여 엎드려 기다리는 곰과 은밀한 곳에 있는 사자 같으사
10. 他向我如熊埋伏，如獅子在隱密處。
11 he dragged me from the path and mangled me and left me without help.
11 나의 길들로 치우치게 하시며 내 몸을 찢으시며 나를 적막하게 하셨도다
11. 他使我轉離正路，將我撕碎，使我淒涼。
12 He drew his bow and made me the target for his arrows.
12 활을 당겨 나를 화살의 과녁으로 삼으심이여
12. 他張弓將我當作箭靶子。
13 He pierced my heart with arrows from his quiver.
13 화살통의 화살들로 내 허리를 맞추셨도다
13. 他把箭袋中的箭射入我的肺腑。
14 I became the laughingstock of all my people; they mock me in song all day long.
14 나는 내 모든 백성에게 조롱거리 곧 종일토록 그들의 노랫거리가 되었도다
14. 我成了衆民的笑話；他們終日以我爲歌曲。
15 He has filled me with bitter herbs and sated me with gall.
15 나를 쓴 것들로 배불리시고 쑥으로 취하게 하셨으며
15. 他用苦楚充滿我，使我飽用茵蔯。
16 He has broken my teeth with gravel; he has trampled me in the dust.
16 조약돌로 내 이들을 꺾으시고 재로 나를 덮으셨도다
16. 他又用沙石磣斷我的牙，用灰塵將我蒙蔽。
17 I have been deprived of peace; I have forgotten what prosperity is.
17 주께서 내 심령이 평강에서 멀리 떠나게 하시니 내가 복을 내어버렸음이여
17. 你使我遠離平安，我忘記好處。
18 So I say, "My splendor is gone and all that I had hoped from the LORD."
18 스스로 이르기를 나의 힘과 여호와께 대한 내 소망이 끊어졌다
18. 我就說：我的力量衰敗；我在耶和華那裏毫無指望！
19 I remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall.
19 내 고초와 재난 곧 쑥과 담즙을 기억하소서
19. 耶和華阿，求你記念我如茵蔯和苦膽的困苦窘迫。
20 I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me.
20 내 마음이 그것을 기억하고 내가 낙심이 되오나
20. 我心想念這些，就在裏面憂悶。
21 Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope:
21 이것을 내가 내 마음에 담아 두었더니 그것이 오히려 나의 소망이 되었사옴은
21. 我想起這事，心裏就有指望。
22 Because of the LORD'S great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.
22 여호와의 인자와 긍휼이 무궁하시므로 우리가 진멸되지 아니함이니이다
22. 我們不致消滅，是出於耶和華諸般的慈愛；是因他的憐憫不致斷絶。
23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
23 이것들이 아침마다 새로우니 주의 성실하심이 크시도소이다
23. 每早晨，這都是新的；你的誠實極其廣大！
24 I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him."
24 내 심령에 이르기를 여호와는 나의 기업이시니 그러므로 내가 그를 바라리라 하도다
24. 我心裏說：耶和華是我的分，因此，我要仰望他。
25 The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him;
25 기다리는 자들에게나 구하는 영혼들에게 여호와는 선하시도다
25. 凡等候耶和華，心裏尋求他的，耶和華必施恩給他。
26 it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.
26 사람이 여호와의 구원을 바라고 잠잠히 기디림이 좋도다
26. 人仰望耶和華，靜黙等候他的救恩，這原是好的。
27 It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is young.
27 사람은 젊었을 때에 멍에를 메는 것이 좋으니
27. 人在幼年負軛，這原是好的。
28 Let him sit alone in silence, for the LORD has laid it on him.
28 혼자 앉아서 잠잠할 것은 주께서 그것을 그에게 메우셨음이라
28. 他當獨坐無言，因爲這是耶和華加在他身上的。
29 Let him bury his face in the dust--there may yet be hope.
29 그대의 입을 땅의 티끌에 댈지어다 혹시 소망이 있을지로다
29. 他當口貼塵埃，或者有指望。
30 Let him offer his cheek to one who would strike him, and let him be filled with disgrace.
30 자기를 치는 자에게 뺨을 돌려대어 치욕으로 배불릴지어다
30. 他當由人打他的腮頰，要滿受羞辱。
31 For men are not cast off by the Lord forever.
31 이는 주께서 영원하도록 버리지 아니하실 것임이며
31. 因爲主必不永遠丢棄人。
32 Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love.
32 그가 비록 근심하게 하시나 그의 풍부한 인자하심에 따라 긍휼히 여기실 것임이라
32. 主雖使人憂愁，還要照他諸般的慈愛發憐憫。
33 For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to the children of men.
33 주께서 인생으로 고생하게 하시며 근심하게 하심은 본심이 아니시로다
33. 因他並不甘心使人受苦，使人憂愁。
34 To crush underfoot all prisoners in the land,
34 세상에 있는 모든 갇힌 자들을 발로 밟는 것과
34. 人將世上被囚的踹（原文是壓）在脚下，
35 to deny a man his rights before the Most High,
35 지존자의 얼굴 앞에서 사람의 재판을 굽게 하는 것과
35. 或在至高者面前屈枉人，
36 to deprive a man of justice--would not the Lord see such things?
36 사람의 송사를 억울하게 하는 것은 다 주께서 기쁘게 보시는 것이 아니로다
36. 或在人的訟事上顚倒是非，這都是主看不上的。
37 Who can speak and have it happen if the Lord has not decreed it?
37 주의 명령이 아니면 누가 이것을 능히 말하여 이루게 할 수 있으랴
37. 除非主命定，誰能說成就成呢？
38 Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that both calamities and good things come?
38 화와 복이 지존자의 입으로부터 나오지 아니하느냐
38. 禍福不都出於至高者的口麽？
39 Why should any living man complain when punished for his sins?
39 살아 있는 사람은 자기 죄들 때문에 벌을 받나니 어찌 원망하랴
39. 活人因自己的罪受罰，爲何發怨言呢？
40 Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the LORD.
40 우리가 스스로 우리의 행위들을 조사하고 여호와께로 돌아가자
40. 我們當深深考察自己的行爲，再歸向耶和華。
41 Let us lift up our hearts and our hands to God in heaven, and say:
41 우리의 마음과 손을 아울러 하늘에 계신 하나님께 들자
41. 我們當誠心向天上的神擧手禱告。
42 "We have sinned and rebelled and you have not forgiven.
42 우리의 범죄함과 우리의 반역함을 주께서 사하지 아니하시고
42. 我們犯罪背逆，你並不赦免。
43 "You have covered yourself with anger and pursued us; you have slain without pity.
43 진노로 자신을 가리시고 우리를 추격하시며 죽이시고 긍휼을 베풀지 아니하셨나이다
43. 你自被怒氣遮蔽，追趕我們；你施行殺戮，並不顧惜。
44 You have covered yourself with a cloud so that no prayer can get through.
44 주께서 구름으로 자신을 가리사 기도가 상달되지 못하게 하시고
44. 你以黑雲遮蔽自己，以致禱告不得透入。
45 You have made us scum and refuse among the nations.
45 우리를 뭇 나라 가운데에서 쓰레기와 폐물로 삼으셨으므로
45. 你使我們在萬民中成爲汚穢和渣滓。
46 "All our enemies have opened their mouths wide against us.
46 우리의 모든 원수들이 우리를 향하여 그들의 입을 크게 벌렸나이다
46. 我們的仇敵都向我們大大張口。
47 We have suffered terror and pitfalls, ruin and destruction."
47 두려움과 함정과 파멸과 멸망이 우리에게 임하였도다
47. 恐懼和陷坑，殘害和燬滅，都臨近我們。
48 Streams of tears flow from my eyes because my people are destroyed.
48 딸 내 백성의 파멸로 말미암아 내 눈에는 눈물이 시내처럼 흐르도다
48. 因我衆民遭的燬滅，我就眼淚下流如河。
49 My eyes will flow unceasingly, without relief,
49 내 눈에 흐르는 눈물이 그치지 아니하고 쉬지 아니함이여
49. 我的眼多多流淚，總不止息，
50 until the LORD looks down from heaven and sees.
50 여호와께서 하늘에서 살피시고 돌아보실 때까지니라
50. 直等耶和華垂顧，從天觀看。
51 What I see brings grief to my soul because of all the women of my city.
51 나의 성읍의 모든 여자들을 내 눈으로 보니 내 심령이 상하는도다
51. 因我本城的衆民，我的眼，使我的心傷痛。
52 Those who were my enemies without cause hunted me like a bird.
52 나의 원수들이 이유 없이 나를 새처럼 사냥하는도다
52. 無故與我爲仇的追逼我，像追雀鳥一樣。
53 They tried to end my life in a pit and threw stones at me;
53 그들이 내 생명을 끊으려고 나를 구덩이에 넣고 그 위에 돌을 던짐이여
53. 他們使我的命在牢獄中斷絶，並將一塊石頭抛在我身上。
54 the waters closed over my head, and I thought I was about to be cut off.
54 물이 내 머리 위로 넘치니 내가 스스로 이르기를 이제는 멸절되었다 하도다
54. 衆水流過我頭，我說：我命斷絶了！
55 I called on your name, O LORD, from the depths of the pit.
55 여호와여 내가 심히 깊은 구덩이에서 주의 이름을 불렀나이다
55. 耶和華阿，我從深牢中求告你的名。
56 You heard my plea: "Do not close your ears to my cry for relief."
56 주께서 이미 나의 음성을 들으셨사오니 이제 나의 탄식과 부르짖음에 주의 귀를 가리지 마옵소서
56. 你曾聽見我的聲音；我求你解救，你不要掩耳不聽。
57 You came near when I called you, and you said, "Do not fear."
57 내가 주께 아뢴 날에 주께서 내게 가까이 하여 이르시되 두려워하지 말라 하셨나이다
57. 我求告你的日子，你臨近我，說：不要懼怕！
58 O Lord, you took up my case; you redeemed my life.
58 주여 주께서 내 심령의 원통함을 풀어 주셨고 내 생명을 속량하셨나이다
58. 主阿，你伸明了我的冤；你救贖了我的命。
59 You have seen, O LORD, the wrong done to me. Uphold my cause!
59 여호와여 나의 억울함을 보셨사오니 나를 위하여 원통함을 풀어 주옵소서
59. 耶和華阿，你見了我受的委屈；求你爲我伸冤。
60 You have seen the depth of their vengeance, all their plots against me.
60 그들이 내게 보복하며 나를 모해함을 주께서 다 보셨나이다
60. 他們仇恨我，謀害我，你都看見了。
61 O LORD, you have heard their insults, all their plots against me--
61 여호와여 그들이 나를 비방하며 나를 모해하는 모든 것
61. 耶和華阿，你聽見他們辱罵我的話，知道他們向我所設的計，
62 what my enemies whisper and mutter against me all day long.
62 곧 일어나 나를 치는 자들의 입술에서 나오는 것들과 종일 나를 모해하는 것들을 들으셨나이다
62. 並那些起來攻擊我的人口中所說的話，以及終日向我所設的計謀。
63 Look at them! Sitting or standing, they mock me in their songs.
63 그들이 앉으나 서나 나를 조롱하여 노래하는 것을 주목하여 보옵소서
63. 求你觀看，他們坐下，起來，都以我爲歌曲。
64 Pay them back what they deserve, O LORD, for what their hands have done.
64 여호와여 주께서 그들의 손이 행한 대로 그들에게 보응하사
64. 耶和華阿，你要按著他們手所作的向他們施行報應。
65 Put a veil over their hearts, and may your curse be on them!
65 그들에게 거만한 마음을 주시고 그들에게 저주를 내리소서
65. 你要使他們心裏剛硬，使你的咒詛臨到他們。
66 Pursue them in anger and destroy them from under the heavens of the LORD.
66 주께서 진노로 그들을 뒤쫓으사 여호와의 하늘 아래에서 멸하소서
66. 你要發怒追趕他們，從耶和華的天下除滅他們。
