1 Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.
1 만일 땅에 있는 우리의 장막집이 무너지면 하나님께서 지으신 집 곧 손으로 지은 것이 아니요 하늘에 있는 영원한 집이 우리에게 있는 줄 아느니라
1. 我們原知道，我們這地上的帳棚若拆毁了，必得神所造，不是人手所造，在天上永存的房屋。
2 Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling,
2 참으로 우리가 여기 있어 탄식하며 하늘로부터 오는 우리 처소로 덧입기를 간절히 사모하노라
2. 我們在這帳棚裏歎息，深想得那從天上來的房屋，好像穿上衣服；
3 because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked.
3 이렇게 입음은 우리가 벗은 자들로 발견되지 않으려 함이라
3. 倘若穿上，被遇見的時候就不至於赤身了。
4 For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.
4 참으로 이 장막에 있는 우리가 짐 진 것 같이 탄식하는 것은 벗고자 함이 아니요 오히려 덧입고자 함이니 죽을 것이 생명에 삼킨 바 되게 하려 함이라
4. 我們在這帳棚裏歎息勞苦，並非願意脫下這個，乃是願意穿上那個，好叫這必死的被生命呑滅了。
5 Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
5 곧 이것을 우리에게 이루게 하시고 보증으로 성령을 우리에게 주신 이는 하나님이시니라
5. 爲此，培植我們的就是神，他又賜給我們聖靈作憑據（原文是質）。
6 Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord.
6 그러므로 우리가 항상 담대하여 몸으로 있을 때에는 주와 따로 있는 줄을 아노니
6. 所以，我們時常坦然無懼，並且曉得我們住在身內，便與主相離。
7 We live by faith, not by sight.
7 이는 우리가 믿음으로 행하고 보는 것으로 행하지 아니함이로라
7. 因我們行事爲人是憑著信心，不是憑著眼見。
8 We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.
8 우리가 담대하여 원하는 바는 차라리 몸을 떠나 주와 함께 있는 그것이라
8. 我們坦然無懼，是更願意離開身體與主同住。
9 So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it.
9 그런즉 우리는 몸으로 있든지 떠나든지 주를 기쁘시게 하는 자가 되기를 힘쓰노라
9. 所以，無論是住在身內，離開身外，我們立了志向，要得主的喜悅。
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.
10 이는 우리가 다 반드시 그리스도의 심판대 앞에 나타나게 되어 각각 선악간에 그 몸으로 행한 것을 따라 받으려 함이라
10. 因爲我們衆人必要在基督臺前顯露出來，叫各人按著本身所行的，或善或惡受報。
11 Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade men. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience.
11 우리는 주의 두려우심을 알므로 사람들을 권면하거니와 우리가 하나님 앞에 알리어졌으니 또 너희의 양심에도 알리어지기를 바라노라
11. 我們旣知道主是可畏的，所以勸人。但我們在神面前是顯明的，盼望在你們的良心裏也是顯明的。
12 We are not trying to commend ourselves to you again, but are giving you an opportunity to take pride in us, so that you can answer those who take pride in what is seen rather than in what is in the heart.
12 우리가 다시 너희에게 자천하는 것이 아니요 오직 우리로 말미암아 자랑할 기회를 너희에게 주어 마음으로 하지 않고 외모로 자랑하는 자들을에게 대답하게 하려 하는 것이라
12. 我們不是向你們再擧薦自己，乃是叫你們因我們有可誇之處，好對那憑外貌不憑內心誇口的人，有言可答。
13 If we are out of our mind, it is for the sake of God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you.
13 우리가 만일 미쳤어도 하나님을 위한 것이요 만일 정신이 온전하여도 너희를 위한 것이니
13. 我們若果顚狂，是爲神；若果謹守，是爲你們。
14 For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.
14 그리스도의 사랑이 우리를 강권하시는도다 우리가 생각하건대 한 사람이 모든 사람을 대신하여 죽었은즉 모든 사람이 죽은 것이라
14. 原來基督的愛激勵我們；因我們想，一人旣替衆人死，衆人就都死了；
15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
15 그가 모든 사람을 대신하여 죽으심은 살아 있는 자들로 하여금 다시는 그들 자신을 위하여 살지 않고 오직 그들을 대신하여 죽었다가 다시 살아나신 이를 위하여 살게 하려 함이라
15. 並且他替衆人死，是叫那些活著的人不再爲自己活，乃爲替他們死而復活的主活。
16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.
16 그러므로 우리가 이제부터는 어떤 사람도 육신을 따라 알지 아니하노라 비록 우리가 그리스도도 육신을 따라 알았으나 이제부터는 그같이 알지 아니하노라
16. 所以，我們從今以後，不憑著外貌（原文是肉體；本節同）認人了。雖然憑著外貌認過基督，如今卻不再這樣認了。
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
17 그런즉 누구든지 그리스도 안에 있으면 새로운 피조물이라 이전 것은 지나갔으니 보라 새 것이 되었도다
17. 若有人在基督裏，他就是新造的人，舊事已過，都變成新的了。
18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:
18 모든 것이 하나님께로서 났으며 그가 그리스도로 말미암아 우리를 자기와 화목하게 하시고 또 우리에게 화목하게 하는 직분을 주셨으니
18. 一切都是出於神；他藉著基督使我們與他和好，又將勸人與他和好的職分賜給我們。
19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
19 곧 하나님께서 그리스도 안에 계시사 세상을 자기와 화목하게 하시며 그들의 죄를 그들에게 돌리지 아니하시고 화목하게 하는 말씀을 우리에게 부탁하셨느니라
19. 這就是神在基督裏，叫世人與自己和好，不將他們的過犯歸到他們身上，並且將這和好的道理託付了我們。
20 We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.
20 그러므로 우리가 그리스도를 대신하여 사신이 되어 하나님이 우리를 통하여 너희를 권면하시는 것 같이 그리스도를 대신하여 간청하노니 너희는 하나님과 화목하라
20. 所以，我們作基督的使者，就好像神藉我們勸你們一般。我們替基督求你們與神和好。
21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
21 하나님이 죄를 알지도 못하신 이를 우리를 대신하여 죄로 삼으신 것은 우리로 하여금 그 안에서 하나님의 의가 되게 하려 하심이라
21. 神使那無罪（無罪：原文是不知罪）的，替我們成爲罪，好叫我們在他裏面成爲神的義。
