1 At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion in what was known as the Italian Regiment.
1 가이사랴에 고넬료라 하는 사람이 있으니 이달리야 부대라 하는 군대의 백부장이라
1. 此後，彼得在約帕一個硝皮匠西門的家裏住了多日。
2 He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly.
2 그가 경건하여 온 집안과 더불어 하나님을 경외하며 백성을 많이 구제하고 하나님께 항상 기도하더니
2. 在該撒利亞有一個人，名叫哥尼流，是義大利營的百夫長。
3 One day at about three in the afternoon he had a vision. He distinctly saw an angel of God, who came to him and said, "Cornelius!"
3 하루는 제 구 시쯤 되어 환상 중에 밝히 보매 하나님의 사자가 들어와 이르되 고넬료야 하니
3. 他是個虔誠人，他和全家都敬畏神，多多賙濟百姓，常常禱告神。
4 Cornelius stared at him in fear. "What is it, Lord?" he asked. The angel answered, "Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God.
4 고넬료가 주목하여 보고 두려워 이르되 네 기도와 구제가 하나님 앞에 상달되어 기억하신 바 되었으니
4. 有一天，約在申初，他在異象中明明看見神的一個使者進去，到他那裏，說：哥尼流。
5 Now send men to Joppa to bring back a man named Simon who is called Peter.
5 네가 지금 사람들을 욥바에 보내어 베드로라 하는 시몬을 청하라
5. 哥尼流定睛看他，驚怕說：主阿，甚麽事呢？天使說：你的禱告和你的賙濟達到神面前，已蒙記念了。
6 He is staying with Simon the tanner, whose house is by the sea."
6 그는 무두장이 시몬의 집에 유숙하니 그 집은 해변에 있다 하더라
6. 現在你當打發人往約帕去，請那稱呼彼得的西門來。
7 When the angel who spoke to him had gone, Cornelius called two of his servants and a devout soldier who was one of his attendants.
7 마침 말하던 천사가 떠나매 고넬료가 집안 하인 둘과 부하 가운데 경건한 사람 하나를 불러
7. 他住在海邊一個硝皮匠西門的家裏，房子在海邊上。
8 He told them everything that had happened and sent them to Joppa.
8 이 일을 다 이르고 욥바로 보내니라
8. 向他說話的天使去後，哥尼流叫了兩個家人和常伺候他的一個虔誠兵來，
9 About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray.
9 이튿날 그들이 길을 가다가 그 성에 가까이 갔을 그 때에 베드로가 기도하려고 지붕에 올라가니 그 시각은 제 육 시더라
9. 把這事都述說給他們聽，就打發他們往約帕去。
10 He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance.
10 그가 시장하여 먹고자 하매 사람들이 준비할 때에 황홀한 중에
10. 第二天，他們行路將近那城。彼得約在午正，上房頂去禱告，
11 He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners.
11 하늘이 열리며 한 그릇이 내려오는 것을 보니 큰 보자기 같고 네 귀를 매어 땅에 드리웠더라
11. 覺得餓了，想要喫。那家的人正豫備飯的時候，彼得魂遊象外，
12 It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles of the earth and birds of the air.
12 그 안에는 땅에 있는 각종 네 발 가진 짐승과 기는 것과 공중에 나는 것들이 있더라
12. 看見天開了，有一物降下，好像一塊大布，繫著四角，縋在地上，
13 Then a voice told him, "Get up, Peter. Kill and eat."
13 또 소리가 있으되 베드로야 일어나 잡아 먹어라 하거늘
13. 裏面有地上各樣四足的走獸和昆蟲，並天上的飛鳥；
14 "Surely not, Lord!" Peter replied. "I have never eaten anything impure or unclean."
14 베드로가 이르되 주여 그럴 수 없나이다 속되고 깨끗하지 아니한 것을 내가 결코 먹지 아니하였나이다 한 대
14. 又有聲音向他說：彼得，起來，宰了喫！
15 The voice spoke to him a second time, "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean."
15 또 두 번째 소리가 있으되 하나님께서 깨끗하게 하신 것을 네가 속되다 하지 말라 하더라
15. 彼得卻說：主阿，這是不可的！凡俗物和不潔淨的物，我從來沒有喫過。
16 This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven.
16 이런 일이 세 번 있은 후 그 그릇이 곧 하늘로 올려져 가니라
16. 第二次有聲音向他說：神所潔淨的，你不可當作俗物。
17 While Peter was wondering about the meaning of the vision, the men sent by Cornelius found out where Simon's house was and stopped at the gate.
17 베드로가 본 바 환상이 무슨 뜻인지 속으로 의아해 하더니 마침 고넬료가 보낸 사람들이 시몬의 집을 찾아 문 밖에 서서
17. 這樣一連三次，那物隨卽收回天上去了。
18 They called out, asking if Simon who was known as Peter was staying there.
18 불러 묻되 베드로라 하는 시몬이 여기 유숙하느냐 하거늘
18. 彼得心裏正在猜疑之間，不知所看見的異象是甚麽意思。哥尼流所差來的人已經訪問到西門的家，站在門外，
19 While Peter was still thinking about the vision, the Spirit said to him, "Simon, three men are looking for you.
19 베드로가 그 환상에 대하여 생각할 때에 성령께서 그에게 말씀하시되 두 사람이 너를 찾으니
19. 喊著問：有稱呼彼得的西門住在這裏沒有？
20 So get up and go downstairs. Do not hesitate to go with them, for I have sent them."
20 일어나 내려가 의심하지 말고 함께 가라 내가 그들을 보내었느니라 하시니
20. 彼得還思想那異象的時候，聖靈向他說：有三個人來找你。
21 Peter went down and said to the men, "I'm the one you're looking for. Why have you come?"
21 베드로가 내려가 그 사람들을 보고 이르되 내가 곧 너희가 찾는 사람인데 너희가 무슨 일로 왔느냐
21. 起來，下去，和他們同往，不要疑惑，因爲是我差他們來的。
22 The men replied, "We have come from Cornelius the centurion. He is a righteous and God-fearing man, who is respected by all the Jewish people. A holy angel told him to have you come to his house so that he could hear what you have to say."
22 그들이 대답하되 백부장 고넬료는 의인이요 하나님을 경외하는 사람이라 유대 온 족속이 칭찬하더니 그가 거룩한 천사의 지시를 받아 당신을 그 집으로 청하여 말을 들으려 하느니라 한 대
22. 於是彼得下去見那些人，說：我就是你們所找的人。你們來是爲甚麽緣故？
23 Then Peter invited the men into the house to be his guests. The next day Peter started out with them, and some of the brothers from Joppa went along.
23 베드로가 불러 들여 유숙하게 하니라 이튿날 일어나 그들과 함께 갈새 욥바에서 온 어떤 형제들도 함께 가니라
23. 他們說：百夫長哥尼流是個義人，敬畏神，爲猶太通國所稱讚。他蒙一位聖天使指示，叫他請你到他家裏去，聽的話。
24 The following day he arrived in Caesarea. Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close friends.
24 이튿날 가이사랴에 들어가니 고넬료가 그의 친척과 가까운 친구들을 모아 기다리더니
24. 彼得就請他們進去，住了一宿。次日，起身和他們同去，還有約帕的幾個弟兄同著他去；
25 As Peter entered the house, Cornelius met him and fell at his feet in reverence.
25 마침 베드로가 들어올 때에 고넬료가 맞아 발 앞에 엎드리어 절하니
25. 又次日，他們進入該撒利亞，哥尼流已經請了他的親屬密友等候他們。
26 But Peter made him get up. "Stand up," he said, "I am only a man myself."
26 베드로가 일으켜 이르되 일어서라 나도 사람이라 하고
26. 彼得一進去，哥尼流就迎接他，俯伏在他脚前拜他。
27 Talking with him, Peter went inside and found a large gathering of people.
27 더불어 말하며 들어가 여러 사람이 모인 것을 보고
27. 彼得卻拉他，說：你起來，我也是人。
28 He said to them: "You are well aware that it is against our law for a Jew to associate with a Gentile or visit him. But God has shown me that I should not call any man impure or unclean.
28 이르되 유대인으로서 이방인과 교제하며 가까이 하는 것이 위법인 줄은 너희도 알거니와 하나님께서 내게 지시하사 아무도 속되다 하거나 깨끗하지 않다 하지 말라 하시기로
28. 彼得和他說著話進去，見有好些人在那裏聚集，
29 So when I was sent for, I came without raising any objection. May I ask why you sent for me?"
29 부름을 사양하지 아니하고 왔노라 묻노니 무슨 일로 나를 불렀느냐
29. 就對他們說：你們知道，猶太人和別國的人親近來往本是不合例的，但神已經指示我，無論甚麽人都不可看作俗不潔淨的。
30 Cornelius answered: "Four days ago I was in my house praying at this hour, at three in the afternoon. Suddenly a man in shining clothes stood before me
30 고넬료가 이르되 내가 나흘 전 이맘때까지 내 집에서 제 구 시 기도를 하는데 갑자기 한 사람이 빛난 옷을 입고 내 앞에 서서
30. 所以我被請的時候，就不推辭而來。現在請問：你們叫我來有甚麽意思呢？
31 and said, 'Cornelius, God has heard your prayer and remembered your gifts to the poor.
31 말하되 고넬료야 하나님이 네 기도를 들으시고 네 구제를 기억하셨으니
31. 哥尼流說：前四天，這個時候，我在家中守著申初的禱告，忽然有一個人穿著光明的衣裳，站在我面前，
32 Send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter. He is a guest in the home of Simon the tanner, who lives by the sea.'
32 사람을 욥바에 보내어 베드로라 하는 시몬을 청하라 그가 바닷가 무두장이 시몬의 집에 유숙하느니라 하시기로
32. 說：哥尼流，你的禱告已蒙垂聽，你的賙濟達到神面前已蒙記念了。
33 So I sent for you immediately, and it was good of you to come. Now we are all here in the presence of God to listen to everything the Lord has commanded you to tell us."
33 내가 곧 당신에게 사람을 보내었는데 오셨으니 잘하였나이다 이제 우리는 주께서 당신에게 명하신 모든 것을 듣고자 하여 다 하나님 앞에 있나이다
33. 你當打發人往約帕去，請那稱呼彼得的西門來，他住在海邊一個硝皮匠西門的家裏。
34 Then Peter began to speak: "I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism
34 베드로가 입을 열어 말하되 내가 참으로 하나님은 사람의 외모를 보지 아니하시고
34. 所以我立時打發人去請你。你來了很好；現今我們都在神面前，要聽主所吩咐你的一切話。

5 but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right.
35 각 나라 중 하나님을 경외하며 의를 행하는 사람은 다 받으시는 줄 깨달았도다
35. 彼得就開口說：我眞看出神是不偏待人。
36 You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, telling the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.
36 만유의 주 되신 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 화평의 복음을 전하사 이스라엘 자손들에게 보내신 말씀
36. 原來，各國中那敬畏主、行義的人都爲主所悅納。
37 You know what has happened throughout Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached--
37 곧 요한이 그 세례를 반포한 후에 갈릴리에서 시작하여 온 유대에 두루 전파된 그것을 너희도 알거니와
37. 神藉著耶穌基督（他是萬有的主）傳和平的福音，將這道賜給以色列人。
38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.
38 하나님이 나사렛 예수에게 성령과 능력을 기름 붓듯 하셨으매 그가 두루 다니시며 선한 일을 행하시고 마귀에 눌린 모든 사람을 고치셨으니 이는 하나님이 함께 하셨음이라
38. 這話在約翰宣傳洗禮以後，從加利利起，傳遍了猶太。
39 "We are witnesses of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a tree,
39 우리는 유대인의 땅과 예루살렘에서 그가 행하신 모든 일에 증인이라 그를 그들이 나무에 달아 죽였으나
39. 神怎樣以聖靈和能力膏拿撒勒人耶穌，這都是你們知道的。他周流四方，行善事，醫好凡被魔鬼壓制的人，因爲與他同在。
40 but God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen.
40 하나님이 사흘 만에 다시 살리사 나타내시되
40. 他在猶太人之地，並耶路撒冷所行的一切事，有我們作見證。他們竟把他掛在木頭上殺了。
41 He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had already chosen--by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.
41 모든 백성에게 하신 것이 아니요 오직 미리 택하신 증인 곧 죽은 자 가운데서 부활하신 후 그를 모시고 음식을 먹은 우리에게 하신 것이라
41. 第三日，神叫他復活，顯現出來；
42 He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead.
42 우리에게 명하사 백성에게 전도하되 하나님이 살아 있는 자와 죽은 자의 재판장으로 정하신 자가 곧 이 사람인 것을 증언하게 하셨고
42. 不是顯現給衆人看，乃是顯現給神豫先所揀選爲他作見證的人看，就是我們這些在他從死裏復活以後和他同喫同的人。
43 All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name."
43 그에 대하여 모든 선지자도 증언하되 그를 믿는 사람들이 다 그의 이름을 힘입어 죄 사함을 받는다 하였느니라
43. 他吩咐我們傳道給衆人，證明他是神所立定的，要作審判活人、死人的主。
44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message.
44 베드로가 이 말을 할 때에 성령이 말씀 듣는 모든 사람에게 내려오시니
44. 衆先知也爲他作見證說：凡信他的人必因他的名得蒙赦罪。
45 The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles.
45 베드로와 함께 온 할례 받은 신자들이 이방인들에게도 성령 부어 주심으로 말미암아 놀라니
45. 彼得還說這話的時候，聖靈降在一切聽道的人身上。
46 For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God. Then Peter said,
46 이는 방언을 말하며 하나님 높임을 들음이러라
46. 那些奉割禮、和彼得同來的信徒，見聖靈的恩賜也澆在外邦人身上，就都希奇；
47 "Can anyone keep these people from being baptized with water? They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have."
47 이에 베드로가 이르되 이 사람들이 우리와 같이 성령을 받았으니 누가 능히 물로 세례 베풂을 금하리요 하고
47. 因聽見他們說方言，稱讚神爲大。
48 So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days.
48 명하여 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 세례를 베풀라 하니라 그들이 베드로에게 며칠 더 머물기를 청하니라
48. 於是彼得說：這些人旣受了聖靈，與我們一樣，誰能禁止用水給他們施洗呢？
