1 When Jehoshaphat king of Judah returned safely to his palace in Jerusalem,
1 유다 왕 여호사밧이 평안히 예루살렘에 돌아와서 그의 궁으로 들어가니라
1. 猶大王約沙法平平安安地回耶路撒冷，到宮裏去了。
2 Jehu the seer, the son of Hanani, went out to meet him and said to the king, "Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the LORD? Because of this, the wrath of the LORD is upon you.
2 하나니의 아들 선견자 예후가 나가서 여호사밧 왕을 맞아 이르되 왕이 악한 자를 돕고 여호와를 미워하는 자들을 사랑하는 것이 옳으니이까 그러므로 여호와께로부터 진노하심이 왕에게 임하리이다
2. 先見哈拿尼的兒子耶戶出來迎接約沙法王，對他說：你豈當幇助惡人，愛那恨惡耶和華的人呢？因此耶和華的忿臨到你。
3 There is, however, some good in you, for you have rid the land of the Asherah poles and have set your heart on seeking God."
3 그러나 왕에게 선한 일도 있으니 이는 왕이 아세라 목상들을 이 땅에서 없애고 마음을 기울여 하나님을 찾음이니이다 하였더라
3. 然而你還有善行，因你從國中除掉木偶，立定心意尋求神。
4 Jehoshaphat lived in Jerusalem, and he went out again among the people from Beersheba to the hill country of Ephraim and turned them back to the LORD, the God of their fathers.
4 여호사밧이 예루살렘에 살더니 다시 나가서 브엘세바에서부터 에브라임 산지까지 민간에 두루 다니며 그들을 그들의 조상들의 하나님 여호와께로 돌아오게 하고
4. 約沙法住在耶路撒冷，以後又出巡民間，從別是巴直到以法蓮山地，引導民歸向耶和華─他們列祖的神；
5 He appointed judges in the land, in each of the fortified cities of Judah.
5 또 유다 온 나라의 견고한 성읍에 재판관을 세우되 성읍마다 있게 하고
5. 又在猶大國中遍地的堅固城裏設立審判官，
6 He told them, "Consider carefully what you do, because you are not judging for man but for the LORD, who is with you whenever you give a verdict.
6 재판관들에게 이르되 너희가 재판하는 것이 사람을 위하여 할 것인지 여호와를 위하여 할 것인지를 잘 살피라 너희가 재판할 때에 여호와께서 너희와 함께 하심이니라
6. 對他們說：你們辦事應當謹愼；因爲你們判斷不是爲人，乃是爲耶和華。判斷的時候，他必與你們同在。
7 Now let the fear of the LORD be upon you. Judge carefully, for with the LORD our God there is no injustice or partiality or bribery."
7 그런즉 너희는 여호와를 두려워하는 마음으로 삼가 행하라 우리의 하나님 여호와께서는 사람들 앞에서 불의함도 없으시고 치우침도 없으시고 뇌물을 받는 일도 없으시니라 하니라
7. 現在你們應當敬畏耶和華，謹愼辦事；因爲耶和華─我們的神沒有不義，不偏待人，也不受賄賂。
8 In Jerusalem also, Jehoshaphat appointed some of the Levites, priests and heads of Israelite families to administer the law of the LORD and to settle disputes. And they lived in Jerusalem.
8 여호사밧이 또 예루살렘에서 레위 사람들과 제사장들과 이스라엘 족장들 중에서 사람을 세워 여호와께 속한 일과 예루살렘 주민의 모든 송사를 재판하게 하고
8. 約沙法從利未人和祭司，並以色列族長中派定人，在耶路撒冷爲耶和華判斷，聽民間的爭訟，就回耶路撒冷去了。
9 He gave them these orders: "You must serve faithfully and wholeheartedly in the fear of the LORD.
9 그들에게 명령하여 이르되 너희는 진실과 성심을 다하여 여호와를 경외하라
9. 約沙法囑咐他們說：你們當敬畏耶和華，忠心誠實辦事。
10 In every case that comes before you from your fellow countrymen who live in the cities--whether bloodshed or other concerns of the law, commands, decrees or ordinances--you are to warn them not to sin against the LORD; otherwise his wrath will come on you and your brothers. Do this, and you will not sin.
10 어떤 성읍에 사는 너희 형제가 혹 피를 흘림이나 혹 율법이나 계명이나 율례나 규례로 말미암아 너희에게 와서 송사하거든 어떤 송사든지 그들에게 경고하여 여호와께 죄를 범하지 않게 하여 너희와 너희 형제에게 진노하심이 임하지 말게 하라 너희가 이렇게 행하면 죄가 없으니라
10. 住在各城裏你們的弟兄，若有爭訟的事來到你們這裏，或爲流血，或犯律法、誡命、律例、典章，你們要警戒他，免得他們得罪耶和華，以致他的忿怒臨到你們和你們弟兄；這樣行，你們就沒有罪了。
11 "Amariah the chief priest will be over you in any matter concerning the LORD, and Zebadiah son of Ishmael, the leader of the tribe of Judah, will be over you in any matter concerning the king, and the Levites will serve as officials before you. Act with courage, and may the LORD be with those who do well."
11 여호와께서 속한 모든 일에는 대제사장 아마랴가 너희를 다스리고 왕에게 속한 모든 일은 유다 지파의 어른 이스마엘의 아들 스바댜가 다스리고 레위 사람들은 너희 앞에 관리가 되리라 너희는 힘써 행하라 여호와께서 선한 자와 함께 하실지로다 하니라
11. 凡屬耶和華的事，有大祭司亞瑪利雅管理你們；凡屬王的事，有猶大支派的族長以實瑪利的兒子西巴第雅管理你；在你們面前有利未人作官長。你們應當壯膽辦事，願和華與善人同在。
