Exodus
1 These are the names of the sons of Israel who went to Egypt with Jacob, each with his family:
1 야곱과 함께 각각 자기 가족을 데리고 애굽에 이른 이스라엘 아들들의 이름은 이러하니
1. 以色列的衆子，各帶家眷，和雅各一同來到埃及。他們的名字記在下面。
2 Reuben, Simeon, Levi and Judah;
2 르우벤과 시므온과 레위와 유다와
2. 有流便、西緬、利未、猶大、
3 Issachar, Zebulun and Benjamin;
3 잇사갈과 스볼론과 베냐민과
3. 以薩迦、西布倫、便雅憫、
4 Dan and Naphtali; Gad and Asher.
4 단과 납달리와 갓과 아셀이요
4. 但、拿弗他利、迦得、亞設。
5 The descendants of Jacob numbered seventy in all; Joseph was already in Egypt.
5 야곱의 허리에서 나온 사람이 모두 칠십이요 요셉은 애굽에 있었더라
5. 凡從雅各而生的，共有七十人。約瑟已經在埃及。
6 Now Joseph and all his brothers and all that generation died,
6 요셉과 그의 모든 형제와 그 시대의 사람은 다 죽었고
6. 約瑟和他的弟兄，並那一代的人，都死了。
7 but the Israelites were fruitful and multiplied greatly and became exceedingly numerous, so that the land was filled with them.
7 이스라엘 자손은 생육하고 불어나 번성하고 매우 강하여 온 땅에 가득하게 되었더라
7. 以色列人生養衆多，並且繁茂，極其强盛，滿了那地。
8 Then a new king, who did not know about Joseph, came to power in Egypt.
8 요셉을 알지 못하는 새 왕이 일어나 애굽을 다스리더니
8. 有不認識約瑟的新王起來，治理埃及，
9 "Look," he said to his people, "the Israelites have become much too numerous for us.
9 그가 그 백성에게 이르되 이 백성 이스라엘 자손이 우리보다 많고 강하도다
9. 對他的百姓說：看那，這以色列民比我們還多，又比我們强盛。
10 Come, we must deal shrewdly with them or they will become even more numerous and, if war breaks out, will join our enemies, fight against us and leave the country."
10 자, 우리가 그들에게 대하여 지혜롭게 하자 두렵건대 그들이 더 많게 되면 전쟁이 일어날 때에 우리 대적과 합하여 우리와 싸우고 이 땅에서 나갈까 하노라 하고
10. 來罷，我們不如用巧計待他們，恐怕他們多起來，日後若遇甚麽爭戰的事，就連合我們的仇敵攻擊我們，離開這去了。
11 So they put slave masters over them to oppress them with forced labor, and they built Pithom and Rameses as store cities for Pharaoh.
11 감독들을 그들 위에 세우고 그들에게 무거운 짐을 지워 괴롭게 하여 무거운 짐을 지워 괴롭게 하여 그들에게 바로를 위하여 국고성 비돔과 라암셋을 건축하게 하니라
11. 於是埃及人派督工的轄制他們，加重擔苦害他們。他們爲法老建造兩座積貨城，就是比東和蘭塞。
12 But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and spread; so the Egyptians came to dread the Israelites
12 그러나 학대를 받을수록 더욱 번성하여 퍼져나가니 애굽 사람이 이스라엘 자손으로 말미암아 근심하여
12. 只是越發苦害他們，他們越發多起來，越發蔓延；埃及人就因以色列人愁煩。
13 and worked them ruthlessly.
13 이스라엘 자손에게 일을 엄하게 시켜
13. 埃及人嚴嚴的使以色列人作工，
14 They made their lives bitter with hard labor in brick and mortar and with all kinds of work in the fields; in all their hard labor the Egyptians used them ruthlessly.
14 어려운 노동으로 그들의 생활을 괴롭게 하니 곧 흙 이기기와 벽돌 굽기와 농사의 여러 가지 일이라 그 시키는 일이 모두 엄하였더라
14. 使他們因作苦工覺得命苦；無論是和泥，是作磚，是作田間各樣的工，在一切的工上都嚴嚴的待他們。
15 The king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, whose names were Shiphrah and Puah,
15 애굽 왕이 히브리 산파 십브라라 하는 사람과 부아라 하는 사람에게 말하여
15. 有希伯來的兩個收生婆，一名施弗拉，一名普阿；埃及王對他們說：
16 "When you help the Hebrew women in childbirth and observe them on the delivery stool, if it is a boy, kill him; but if it is a girl, let her live."
16 이르되 너희는 히브리 여인을 위하여 해산을 도울 때에 그 자리를 살펴서 아들이거든 그를 죽이고 딸이거든 살려두라
16. 你們爲希伯來婦人收生，看他們臨盆的時候，若是男孩，就把他殺了；若是女孩，就留他存活。
17 The midwives, however, feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt had told them to do; they let the boys live.
17 그러나 산파들이 하나님을 두려워하여 애굽 왕의 명령을 어기고 남자 아기들을 살린지라
17. 但是收生婆敬畏神，不照埃及王的吩咐行，竟存留男孩的性命。
18 Then the king of Egypt summoned the midwives and asked them, "Why have you done this? Why have you let the boys live?"
18 애굽 왕이 산파를 불러 그들에게 이르되 너희가 어찌하여 이같이 남자 아기들을 살렸느냐
18. 埃及王召了收生婆來，說：你們爲甚麽作這事，存留男孩的性命呢？
19 The midwives answered Pharaoh, "Hebrew women are not like Egyptian women; they are vigorous and give birth before the midwives arrive."
19 산파가 바로에게 대답하되 히브리 여인은 애굽 여인과 같지 아니하고 건장하여 산파가 그들에게 이르기 전에 해산하였더이다 하매
19. 收生婆對法老說：因爲希伯來婦人與埃及婦人不同；希伯來婦人本是健壯的（原文作活潑的），收生婆還沒有到他們已經生産了。
20 So God was kind to the midwives and the people increased and became even more numerous.
20 하나님이 그 산파들에게 은혜를 베푸시니 그 백성은 번성하고 매우 강해지니라
20. 神厚待收生婆。以色列人多起來，極其强盛。
21 And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.
21 그 산파들은 하나님을 경외하였으므로 하나님이 그들의 집안을 흥왕하게 하신지라
21. 收生婆因爲敬畏神，神便叫他們成立家室。
22 Then Pharaoh gave this order to all his people: "Every boy that is born you must throw into the Nile, but let every girl live."
22 그러므로 바로가 그의 모든 백성에게 명령하여 이르되 아들이 내어나거든 너희는 그를 나일 강에 던지고 딸이거든 살려두라 하였더라
22. 法老吩咐他的衆民說：以色列人所生的男孩，你們都要丢在河裏；一切的女孩，你們要存留他的性命。
