1 In those days when the number of disciples was increasing, the Grecian Jews among them complained against the Hebraic Jews because their widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food.
1 그 때에 제자가 더 많아졌는데 헬라파 유대인들이 자기의 과부들이 매일의 구제에 빠지므로 히브리파 사람을 원망하니
1. 那時，門徒增多，有說希利尼話的猶太人向希伯來人發怨言，因爲在天天的供給上忽略了他們的寡婦。
2 So the Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, "It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables.
2 열두 사도가 모든 제자를 불러 이르되 우리가 하나님의 말씀을 제쳐 놓고 접대를 일삼는 것이 마땅하지 아니하니
2. 十二使徒叫衆門徒來，對他們說：我們撇下神的道去管理飯食，原是不合宜的。
3 Brothers, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them
3 형제들아 너희 가운데서 성령과 지혜가 충만하여 칭찬 받는 사람 일곱을 택하라 우리가 이 일을 그들에게 맡기고
3. 所以弟兄們，當從你們中間選出七個有好名聲、被聖靈充滿、智慧充足的人，我們就派他們管理這事。
4 and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word."
4 우리는 오로지 기도하는 일과 말씀 사역에 힘쓰리라 하니
4. 但我們要專心以祈禱、傳道爲事。
5 This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit; also Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to Judaism.
5 온 무리가 이 말을 기뻐하여 믿음과 성령이 충만한 사람 스데반과 또 빌립과 브로고로와 니가노르와 디몬과 바메나와 유대교에 입교했던 안디옥 사람 니골라를 택하여
5. 大衆都喜悅這話，就揀選了司提反，乃是大有信心、聖靈充滿的人，又揀選腓利、伯羅哥羅、尼迦挪、提門、巴拿，並進猶太敎的安提阿人尼哥拉，
6 They presented these men to the apostles, who prayed and laid their hands on them.
6 사도들 앞에 세우니 사도들이 기도하고 그들에게 안수하니라
6. 叫他們站在使徒面前。使徒禱告了，就按手在他們頭上。
7 So the word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith.
7 하나님의 말씀이 점점 왕성하여 예루살렘에 있는 제자의 수가 심히 많아지고 허다한 제사장의 무리도 이 도에 복종하니라
7. 神的道興旺起來；在耶路撒冷門徒數目加增的甚多，也有許多祭司信從了這道。
8 Now Stephen, a man full of God's grace and power, did great wonders and miraculous signs among the people.
8 스데반이 은혜와 권능이 충만하여 큰 기사와 표적을 민간에 행하니
8. 司提反滿得恩惠、能力，在民間行了大奇事和神蹟。
9 Opposition arose, however, from members of the Synagogue of the Freedmen (as it was called)--Jews of Cyrene and Alexandria as well as the provinces of Cilicia and Asia. These men began to argue with Stephen,
9 이른 바 자유민들 즉 구레네인, 알렉산드리아인, 길리기아와 아시아에서 온 사람들의 회당에서 어떤 자들이 일어나 스데반과 더불어 논쟁할새
9. 當時有稱利百地拿會堂的幾個人，並有古利奈、亞力山大、基利家、亞西亞、各處會堂的幾個人，都起來和司提反辯論。
10 but they could not stand up against his wisdom or the Spirit by whom he spoke.
10 스데반이 지혜와 성령으로 말미암아 그들이 능히 당하지 못하여
10. 司提反是以智慧和聖靈說話，衆人敵擋不住，
11 Then they secretly persuaded some men to say, "We have heard Stephen speak words of blasphemy against Moses and against God."
11 사람들을 매수하여 말하게 하되 이 사람이 모세와 하나님을 모독하는 말을 하는 것을 우리가 들었노라 하게 하고
11. 就買出人來說：我們聽見他說謗讟摩西和神的話。
12 So they stirred up the people and the elders and the teachers of the law. They seized Stephen and brought him before the Sanhedrin.
12 백성과 장로와 서기관들을 충동시켜 와서 잡아가지고 공회에 이르러
12. 他們又聳動了百姓、長老，並文士，就忽然來捉拿他，把他帶到公會去，
13 They produced false witnesses, who testified, "This fellow never stops speaking against this holy place and against the law.
13 거짓 증인들을 세우니 이르되 이 사람이 이 거룩한 곳과 율법을 거슬러 말하기를 마지 아니하는도다
13. 設下假見證，說：這個人說話，不住的蹧踐聖所和律法。
14 For we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and change the customs Moses handed down to us."
14 그의 말에 이 나사렛 예수가 이 곳을 헐고 또 모세가 우리에게 전하여 준 규례를 고치겠다 함을 우리가 들었노라 하거늘
14. 我們曾聽見他說：這拿撒勒人耶穌要毁壞此地，也要改變摩西所交給我們的規條。
15 All who were sitting in the Sanhedrin looked intently at Stephen, and they saw that his face was like the face of an angel.
15 공중 중에 앉은 사람들이 다 스데반을 주목하여 보니 그 얼굴이 천사의 얼굴과 같더라
15. 在公會裏坐著的人都定睛看他，見他的面貌，好像天使的面貌。
