1 For three years there was no war between Aram and Israel.
1 아람과 이스라엘 사이에 전쟁이 없이 삼 년을 지냈더라
1. 亞蘭國和以色列國三年沒有爭戰。
2 But in the third year Jehoshaphat king of Judah went down to see the king of Israel.
2 셋째 해에 유다의 여호사밧 왕이 이스라엘의 왕에게 내려가매
2. 到第三年，猶大王約沙法下去見以色列王。
3 The king of Israel had said to his officials, "Don't you know that Ramoth Gilead belongs to us and yet we are doing nothing to retake it from the king of Aram?"
3 이스라엘의 왕이 그의 신하들에게 이르되 길르앗 라못은 본래 우리의 것인 줄을 너희가 알지 못하느냐 우리가 어찌 아람의 왕의 손에서 도로 찾지 아니하고 잠잠히 있으리요 하고
3. 以色列王對臣僕說：你們不知道基列的拉末是屬我們的麽？我們豈可靜坐不動，不從亞蘭王手裏奪回來麽？
4 So he asked Jehoshaphat, "Will you go with me to fight against Ramoth Gilead?" Jehoshaphat replied to the king of Israel, "I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses."
4 여호사밧에게 이르되 당신은 나와 함께 길르앗 라못으로 가서 싸우시겠느냐 여호사밧이 이스라엘 왕에게 이르되 나는 당신과 같고 내 백성은 당신의 백성과 같고 내 말들도 당신의 말들과 같으니이다
4. 亞哈問約沙法說：你肯同我去攻取基列的拉末麽？約沙法對以色列王說：你我不分彼此，我的民與你的民一樣，的馬與你的馬一樣。
5 But Jehoshaphat also said to the king of Israel, "First seek the counsel of the LORD."
5 여호사밧이 또 이스라엘의 왕에게 이르되 청하건대 먼저 여호와의 말씀이 어떠하신지 물어 보소서
5. 約沙法對以色列王說：請你先求問耶和華。
6 So the king of Israel brought together the prophets--about four hundred men--and asked them, "Shall I go to war against Ramoth Gilead, or shall I refrain?" "Go," they answered, "for the Lord will give it into the king's hand."
6 이스라엘의 왕이 이에 선지자 사백 명쯤 모으고 그들에게 이르되 내가 길르앗 라못에 가서 싸우랴 말랴 그들이 이르되 올라가소서 주께서 그 성읍을 왕의 손에 넘기시리이다
6. 於是以色列王招聚先知，約有四百人，問他們說：我上去攻取基列的拉末可以不可以？他們說：可以上去，因爲必將那城交在王的手裏。
7 But Jehoshaphat asked, "Is there not a prophet of the LORD here whom we can inquire of?"
7 여호사밧이 이르되 이 외에 우리가 물을 만한 여호와의 선지자가 여기 있지 아니하니이까
7. 約沙法說：這裏不是還有耶和華的先知，我們可以求問他麽？
8 The king of Israel answered Jehoshaphat, "There is still one man through whom we can inquire of the LORD, but I hate him because he never prophesies anything good about me, but always bad. He is Micaiah son of Imlah." "The king should not say that," Jehoshaphat replied.
8 이스라엘의 왕이 여호사밧 왕에게 이르되 아직도 이믈라의 아들 미가야 한 사람이 있으니 그로 말미암아 여호와께 물을 수 있으나 그는 내게 대하여 길한 일은 예언하지 아니하고 흉한 일만 예언하기로 내가 그을 미워하나이다 여호사밧이 이르되 왕은 그런 말씀을 마소서
8. 以色列王對約沙法說：還有一個人，是音拉的兒子米該雅，我們可以託他求問耶和華。只是我恨他；因爲他指著所說的豫言，不說吉語，單說凶言。約沙法說：王不必樣說。
9 So the king of Israel called one of his officials and said, "Bring Micaiah son of Imlah at once."
9 이스라엘의 왕이 한 내시를 불러 이르되 이믈라의 아들 미가야를 속히 오게 하라 하니라
9. 以色列王就召了一個太監來，說：你快去，將音拉的兒子米該雅召來。
10 Dressed in their royal robes, the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah were sitting on their thrones at the threshing floor by the entrance of the gate of Samaria, with all the prophets prophesying before them.
10 이스라엘의 왕과 유다의 여호사밧 왕이 왕복을 입고 사마리아 성문 어귀 광장에서 각기 왕좌에 앉아 있고 모든 선지자가 그들의 앞에서 예언을 하고 있는데
10. 以色列王和猶大王約沙法在撒瑪利亞城門前的空場上，各穿朝服，坐在位上，所有的先知都在他們面前說豫言。
11 Now Zedekiah son of Kenaanah had made iron horns and he declared, "This is what the LORD says: 'With these you will gore the Arameans until they are destroyed.'"
11 그나아나의 아들 시드기야는 자기를 위하여 철로 뿔들을 만들어 가지고 말하되 여호와의 말씀이 왕이 이것들로 아람 사람을 찔러 진멸하리라 하셨다 하고
11. 基拿拿的兒子西底家造了兩個鐵角，說：耶和華如此說：你要用這角牴觸亞蘭人，直到將他們滅盡。
12 All the other prophets were prophesying the same thing. "Attack Ramoth Gilead and be victorious," they said, "for the LORD will give it into the king's hand."
12 모든 선지자도 그와 같이 예언하여 이르기를 길르앗 라못으로 올라가 승리를 얻으소서 여호와께서 그 성읍을 왕의 손에 넘기시리이다 하더라
12. 所有的先知也都這樣豫言說：可以上基列的拉末去，必然得勝，因爲耶和華必將那城交在王的手中。
13 The messenger who had gone to summon Micaiah said to him, "Look, as one man the other prophets are predicting success for the king. Let your word agree with theirs, and speak favorably."
13 미가야를 부르러 간 사신이 일러 이르되 선지자들의 말이 하나 같이 왕에게 길하게 하니 청하건대 당신의 말도 그들 중 한 사람의 말처럼 길하게 하소서
13. 那去召米該雅的使者對米該雅說；衆先知一口同音地都向王說吉言，你不如與他們說一樣的話，也說吉言。
14 But Micaiah said, "As surely as the LORD lives, I can tell him only what the LORD tells me."
14 미가야가 이르되 여호와께서 살아 계심을 두고 맹세하노니 여호와께서 내게 말씀하시는 것 곧 그것을 내가 말하리라 하고
14. 米該雅說：我指著永生的耶和華起誓，耶和華對我說甚麽，我就說甚麽。
15 When he arrived, the king asked him, "Micaiah, shall we go to war against Ramoth Gilead, or shall I refrain?" "Attack and be victorious," he answered, "for the LORD will give it into the king's hand."
15 이에 왕에게 이르니 왕이 그에게 이르되 미가야야 우리가 길르앗 라못으로 싸우러 가랴 또는 말랴 그가 왕께 이르되 올라가서 승리를 얻으소서 여호와께서 그 성읍을 왕의 손에 넘기시리이다
15. 米該雅到王面前，王問他說：米該雅阿，我們上去攻取基列的拉末可以不可以？他回答說：可以上去，必然得勝耶和華必將那城交在王的手中。
16 The king said to him, "How many times must I make you swear to tell me nothing but the truth in the name of the LORD?"
16 왕이 그에게 이르되 내가 몇 번이나 네게 맹세하게 하여야 네가 여호와의 이름으로 진실한 것으로만 내게 말하겠느냐
16. 王對他說：我當囑咐你幾次，你纔奉耶和華的名向我說實話呢？
17 Then Micaiah answered, "I saw all Israel scattered on the hills like sheep without a shepherd, and the LORD said, 'These people have no master. Let each one go home in peace.'"
17 그가 이르되 내가 보니 온 이스라엘이 목자 없는 양 같이 산에 흩어졌는데 여호와의 말씀이 이 무리에게 주인이 없으니 각각 평안히 자기의 집으로 돌아갈 것이니라 하셨나이다
17. 米該雅說：我看見以色列衆民散在山上，如同沒有牧人的羊群一般。耶和華說：這民沒有主人，他們可以平平安地各歸各家去。
18 The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, "Didn't I tell you that he never prophesies anything good about me, but only bad?"
18 이스라엘의 왕이 여호사밧 왕에게 이르되 저 사람이 내게 대하여 길한 것을 예언하지 아니하고 흉한 것을 예언하겠다고 당신에게 말씀하지 아니하였나이까
18. 以色列王對約沙法說：我豈沒有告訴你，這人指著我所說的豫言，不說吉語單說凶言麽？
19 Micaiah continued, "Therefore hear the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne with all the host of heaven standing around him on his right and on his left.
19 미가야가 이르되 그런즉 왕은 여호와의 말씀을 들으소서 내가 보니 여호와께서 그의 보좌에 앉으셨고 하늘의 만군이 그의 좌우편에 모시고 서 있는데
19. 米該雅說：你要聽耶和華的話！我看見耶和華坐在寶座上，天上的萬軍侍立在他左右。
20 And the LORD said, 'Who will entice Ahab into attacking Ramoth Gilead and going to his death there?' "One suggested this, and another that.
20 여호와께서 말씀하시기를 누가 아합을 꾀어 그를 길르앗 라못에 올라가서 죽게 할꼬 하시니 하나는 이렇게 하겠다 하고 또 하나는 저렇게 하겠다 하였는데
20. 耶和華說：誰去引誘亞哈上基列的拉末去陣亡呢？這個就這樣說，那個就那樣說。
21 Finally, a spirit came forward, stood before the LORD and said, 'I will entice him.'
21 한 영이 나아와 여호와 앞에 서서 말하되 내가 그를 꾀겠나이다
21. 隨後有一個神靈出來，站在耶和華面前，說：我去引誘他。
22 " 'By what means?' the LORD asked. " 'I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouths of all his prophets,' he said. " 'You will succeed in enticing him,' said the LORD. 'Go and do it.'
22 여호와께서 그에게 이르시되 어떻게 하겠느냐 이르되 내가 나가서 거짓말하는 영이 되어 그의 모든 선지자들의 입에 있겠나이다 여호와께서 이르시되 너는 꾀겠고 또 이루리라 나가서 그리하라 하셨은즉
22. 耶和華問他說：你用何法呢？他說：我去，要在他衆先知口中作謊言的靈。耶和華說：這樣，你必能引誘他，你如此行罷！
23 "So now the LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouths of all these prophets of yours. The LORD has decreed disaster for you."
23 이제 여호와께서 거짓말하는 영을 왕의 이 모든 선지자의 입에 넣으셨고 또 여호와께서 왕에 대하여 화를 말씀하셨나이다
23. 現在耶和華使謊言的靈入了你這些先知的口，並且耶和華已經命定降禍與你。
24 Then Zedekiah son of Kenaanah went up and slapped Micaiah in the face. "Which way did the spirit from the LORD go when he went from me to speak to you?" he asked.
24 그나아나의 아들 시드기야가 가까이 와서 미가야의 뺨을 치며 이르되 여호와의 영이 나를 떠나 어디로 가서 네게 말씀하더냐
24. 基拿拿的兒子西底家前來，打米該雅的臉，說：耶和華的靈從那裏離開我與你說話呢？
25 Micaiah replied, "You will find out on the day you go to hide in an inner room."
25 미가야가 이르되 네가 골방에 들어가서 숨는 그 날에 보리라
25. 米該雅說：你進嚴密的屋子藏躱的那日，就必看見了。
26 The king of Israel then ordered, "Take Micaiah and send him back to Amon the ruler of the city and to Joash the king's son
26 이스라엘의 왕이 이르되 미가야를 잡아 성주 아몬과 왕자 요아스에게로 끌고 돌아가서
26. 以色列王說：將米該雅帶回，交給邑宰亞們和王的兒子約阿施，說
27 and say, 'This is what the king says: Put this fellow in prison and give him nothing but bread and water until I return safely.'"
27 말하기를 왕의 말씀이 이 놈을 옥에 가두고 내가 평안히 돌아올 때까지 고생의 떡과 고생의 물을 먹이라 하였다 하라
27. 王如此說，把這個人下在監裏，使他受苦，喫不飽喝不足，等候我平平安安地回來。
28 Micaiah declared, "If you ever return safely, the LORD has not spoken through me." Then he added, "Mark my words, all you people!"
28 미가야가 이르되 왕이 참으로 평안히 돌아오시게 될진대 여호와께서 나를 통하여 말씀하지 아니하셨으리이다 또 이르되 너희 백성들아 다 들을지어다 하니라
28. 米該雅說：你若能平平安安地回來，那就是耶和華沒有藉我說這話了；又說：衆民那，你們都要聽！
29 So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah went up to Ramoth Gilead.
29 이스라엘의 왕과 유다의 여호사밧 왕이 길르앗 라못으로 올라가니라
29. 以色列王和猶大王約沙法上基列的拉末去了。
30 The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, "I will enter the battle in disguise, but you wear your royal robes." So the king of Israel disguised himself and went into battle.
30 이스라엘의 왕이 여호사밧에게 이르되 나는 변장하고 전쟁터로 들어가려 하노니 당신은 왕복을 입으소서 하고 이스라엘의 왕이 변장하고 전쟁터로 들어가니라
30. 以色列王對約沙法說：我要改裝上陣，你可以仍穿王服。以色列王就改裝上陣。
31 Now the king of Aram had ordered his thirty-two chariot commanders, "Do not fight with anyone, small or great, except the king of Israel."
31 아람 왕이 그의 병거의 지휘관 삼십이 명에게 명령하여 이르기를 너희는 작은 자나 큰 자와 더불어 싸우지 말고 오직 이스라엘 왕과 싸우라 한지라
31. 先是亞蘭王吩咐他的三十二個車兵長說：他們的兵將，無論大小，你們都不可與他們爭戰，只要與以色列王爭戰。
32 When the chariot commanders saw Jehoshaphat, they thought, "Surely this is the king of Israel." So they turned to attack him, but when Jehoshaphat cried out,
32 병거의 지휘관들이 여호사밧을 보고 그들이 이르되 이가 틀림없이 이스라엘의 왕이라 하고 돌이켜 그와 싸우려 한즉 여호사밧이 소리를 지르는지라
32. 車兵長看見約沙法，便說：這必是以色列王！就轉過去與他爭戰，約沙法便呼喊。
33 the chariot commanders saw that he was not the king of Israel and stopped pursuing him.
33 병거의 지휘관들이 그가 이스라엘의 왕이 아님을 보고 쫓기를 그치고 돌이켰더라
33. 車兵長見不是以色列王，就轉去不追他了。
34 But someone drew his bow at random and hit the king of Israel between the sections of his armor. The king told his chariot driver, "Wheel around and get me out of the fighting. I've been wounded."
34 한 사람이 무심코 활을 당겨 이스라엘 왕의 갑옷 솔기를 맞힌지라 왕이 그 병거 모는 자에게 이르되 내가 부상하였으니 네 손을 돌려 내가 전쟁터에서 나가게 하라 하였으나
34. 有一人隨便開弓，恰巧射入以色列王的甲縫裏。王對趕車的說：我受了重傷，你轉過車來，拉我出陣罷！
35 All day long the battle raged, and the king was propped up in his chariot facing the Arameans. The blood from his wound ran onto the floor of the chariot, and that evening he died.
35 이 날에 전쟁이 맹렬하였으므로 왕이 병거 가운데에 붙들려 서서 아람 사람을 막다가 저녁에 이르러 죽었는데 상처의 피가 흘러 병거 바닥에 고였더라
35. 那日，陣勢越戰越猛，有人扶王站在車上，抵擋亞蘭人。到晩上，王就死了，血從傷處流在車中。
36 As the sun was setting, a cry spread through the army: "Every man to his town; everyone to his land!"
36 해가 질 녁에 진중에서 외치는 소리가 있어 이르되 각기 성읍으로 또는 각기 본향으로 가라 하더라
36. 約在日落的時候，有號令傳遍軍中，說：各歸本城，各歸本地罷！
37 So the king died and was brought to Samaria, and they buried him there.
37 왕이 이미 죽으매 그의 시체를 메어 사마리아에 이르러 왕을 사마리아에 장사하니라
37. 王旣死了，衆人將他送到撒瑪利亞，就葬在那裏；
38 They washed the chariot at a pool in Samaria (where the prostitutes bathed), and the dogs licked up his blood, as the word of the LORD had declared.
38 그 병거를 사마리아 못에서 씻으매 개들이 그의 피를 핥았으니 여호와께서 하신 말씀과 같이 되었더라 거기는 창기들이 목욕하는 곳이었더라
38. 又有人把他的車洗在撒瑪利亞的池旁（妓女在那裏洗澡），狗來舔他的血，正如耶和華所說的話。
39 As for the other events of Ahab's reign, including all he did, the palace he built and inlaid with ivory, and the cities he fortified, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel?
39 아합의 남은 행적과 그가 행한 모든 일과 그가 건축한 상아궁과 그가 건축한 모든 성읍은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
39. 亞哈其餘的事，凡他所行的和他所修造的象牙宮，並所建築的一切城邑，都寫在以色列諸王記上。
40 Ahab rested with his fathers. And Ahaziah his son succeeded him as king.
40 아합이 그의 조상들과 함께 자매 그의 아들 아하시야가 대신하여 왕이 되니라
40. 亞哈與他列祖同睡。他兒子亞哈謝接續他作王。
41 Jehoshaphat son of Asa became king of Judah in the fourth year of Ahab king of Israel.
41 이스라엘의 아합 왕 제사년에 아사의 아들 여호사밧이 유다의 왕이 되니
41. 以色列王亞哈第四年，亞撒的兒子約沙法登基作了猶大王。
42 Jehoshaphat was thirty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-five years. His mother's name was Azubah daughter of Shilhi.
42 여호사밧이 왕이 될 때에 나이가 삼십오 세라 예루살렘에서 이십오 년 동안 다스리니라 그의 어머니의 이름은 아수바라 실히의 딸이더라
42. 約沙法登基的時候年三十五歲，在耶路撒冷作王二十五年。他母親名叫阿蘇巴，乃示利希的女兒。
43 In everything he walked in the ways of his father Asa and did not stray from them; he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD. The high places, however, were not removed, and the people continued to offer sacrifices and burn incense there.
43 여호사밧이 그의 아버지 아사의 모든 길로 행하며 돌이키지 아니하고 여호와 앞에서 정직히 행하였으나 산당은 폐하지 아니하였으므로 백성이 아직도 산당에서 제사를 드리며 분향하였더라
43. 約沙法行他父親亞撒所行的道，不偏離左右，行耶和華眼中看爲正的事；只是邱壇還沒有廢去，百姓仍在那裏獻燒香。
44 Jehoshaphat was also at peace with the king of Israel.
44 여호사밧이 이스라엘의 왕과 더불어 화평하니라
44. 約沙法與以色列王和好。
45 As for the other events of Jehoshaphat's reign, the things he achieved and his military exploits, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?
45 여호사밧의 남은 사적과 그가 부린 권세와 그가 어떻게 전쟁하였는지는 다 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
45. 約沙法其餘的事和他所顯出的勇力，並他怎樣爭戰，都寫在猶大列王記上。
46 He rid the land of the rest of the male shrine prostitutes who remained there even after the reign of his father Asa.
46 그가 그의 아버지 아사의 시대에 남아 있던 남색하는 자들을 그 땅에서 쫓아내었더라
46. 約沙法將他父親亞撒在世所剩下的孌童都從國中除去了。
47 There was then no king in Edom; a deputy ruled.
47 그 때에 에돔에는 왕이 없고 섭정 왕이 있었더라
47. 那時以東沒有王，有總督治理。
48 Now Jehoshaphat built a fleet of trading ships to go to Ophir for gold, but they never set sail--they were wrecked at Ezion Geber.
48 여호사밧이 다시스의 선박을 제조하고 오빌로 금을 구하러 보내려 하였더니 그 배가 에시온게벨에서 파선하였으므로 가지 못하게 되매
48. 約沙法製造他施船隻，要往俄斐去，將金子運來；只是沒有去，因爲船在以旬迦別破壞了。
49 At that time Ahaziah son of Ahab said to Jehoshaphat, "Let my men sail with your men," but Jehoshaphat refused.
49 아합의 아들 아하시야가 여호사밧에게 이르되 내 종으로 당신의 종과 함께 배에 가게 하라 하나 여호사밧이 허락하지 아니하였더라
49. 亞哈的兒子亞哈謝對約沙法說：容我的僕人和你的僕人坐船同去罷！約沙法卻不肯。
50 Then Jehoshaphat rested with his fathers and was buried with them in the city of David his father. And Jehoram his son succeeded him.
50 여호사밧이 그의 조상들과 함께 자매 그의 조상 다윗 성에 그의 조상들과 함께 장사되고 그의 아들 여호람이 대신하여 왕이 되니라
50. 約沙法與列祖同睡。葬在大衛城他列祖的墳地裏。他兒子約蘭接續他作王。
51 Ahaziah son of Ahab became king of Israel in Samaria in the seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and he reigned over Israel two years.
51 유다의 여호사밧 왕 제십칠년에 아합의 아들 아하시야가 사마리아에서 이스라엘의 왕이 되어 이 년 동안 이스라엘을 다스리니라
51. 猶大王約沙法十七年，亞哈的兒子亞哈謝在撒瑪利亞登基，作以色列王共二年。
52 He did evil in the eyes of the LORD, because he walked in the ways of his father and mother and in the ways of Jeroboam son of Nebat, who caused Israel to sin.
52 그가 여호와 앞에서 악을 행하여 그의 아버지의 길과 그의 어머니의 길과 이스라엘에게 범죄하게 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 길로 행하며
52. 他行耶和華眼中看爲惡的事，效法他的父母，又行尼八的兒子耶羅波安使以色列人陷在罪裏的事。
53 He served and worshiped Baal and provoked the LORD, the God of Israel, to anger, just as his father had done.
53 바알을 섬겨 그에게 예배하여 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와를 노하시게 하기를 그의 아버지의 온갖 행위 같이 하였더라
53. 他照他父親一切所行的，事奉敬拜巴力，惹耶和華─以色列神的怒氣。
