1 Some men came down from Judea to Antioch and were teaching the brothers: "Unless you are circumcised, according to the custom taught by Moses, you cannot be saved."
1 어떤 사람들이 유대로부터 내려와서 형제들을 가르치되 너희가 모세의 법대로 할례를 받지 아니하면 능히 구원을 받지 못하리라 하니
1. 二人就在那裏同門徒住了多日。
2 This brought Paul and Barnabas into sharp dispute and debate with them. So Paul and Barnabas were appointed, along with some other believers, to go up to Jerusalem to see the apostles and elders about this question.
2 바울 및 바나바와 그들 사이에 적지 아니한 다툼과 변론이 일어난지라 형제들이 이 문제에 대하여 바울과 바나바와 및 그 중의 몇 사람을 예루살렘에 있는 사도와 장로들에게 보내기로 작정하니라
2. 有幾個人從猶太下來，敎訓弟兄們說：你們若不按摩西的規條受割禮，不能得救。
3 The church sent them on their way, and as they traveled through Phoenicia and Samaria, they told how the Gentiles had been converted. This news made all the brothers very glad.
3 그들이 교회의 전송을 받고 베니게와 사마리아로 다니며 이방인들이 주께 돌아온 일을 말하여 형제들을 다 크게 기쁘게 하더라
3. 保羅、巴拿巴與他們大大的分爭辯論；衆門徒就定規，叫保羅、巴拿巴和本會中幾個人，爲所辯論的，上耶路撒去見使徒和長老。
4 When they came to Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church and the apostles and elders, to whom they reported everything God had done through them.
4 예루살렘에 이르러 교회와 사도와 장로들에게 영접을 받고 하나님이 자기들과 함께 계셔 행하신 모든 일을 말하매
4. 於是敎會送他們起行。他們經過腓尼基、撒瑪利亞，隨處傳說外邦人歸主的事，叫衆弟兄都甚歡喜。
5 Then some of the believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees stood up and said, "The Gentiles must be circumcised and required to obey the law of Moses."
5 바리새파 중에 어떤 믿는 사람들이 일어나 말하되 이방인에게 할례를 행하고 모세의 율법을 지키라 명하는 것이 마땅하다 하니라
5. 到了耶路撒冷，敎會和使徒並長老都接待他們，他們就述說神同他們所行的一切事。
6 The apostles and elders met to consider this question.
6 사도와 장로들이 이 일을 의논하러 모여
6. 惟有幾個信徒、是法利賽敎門的人，起來說：必須給外邦人行割禮，吩咐他們遵守摩西的律法。
7 After much discussion, Peter got up and addressed them: "Brothers, you know that some time ago God made a choice among you that the Gentiles might hear from my lips the message of the gospel and believe.
7 많은 변론이 있은 후에 베드로가 일어나 말하되 형제들아 너희도 알거니와 하나님이 이방인들로 내 입에서 복음의 말씀을 들어 믿게 하시려고 오래 전부터 너희 가운데서 나를 택하시고
7. 使徒和長老聚會商議這事；
8 God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us.
8 또 마음을 아시는 하나님이 우리에게와 같이 그들에게도 성령을 주어 증언하시고
8. 辯論已經多了，彼得就起來，說：諸位弟兄，你們知道神早已在你們中間揀選了我，叫外邦人從我口中得聽福音道，而且相信。
9 He made no distinction between us and them, for he purified their hearts by faith.
9 믿음으로 그들의 마음을 깨끗이 하사 그들이나 우리나 차별하지 아니하셨느니라
9. 知道人心的神也爲他們作了見證，賜聖靈給他們，正如給我們一樣；
10 Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of the disciples a yoke that neither we nor our fathers have been able to bear?
10 그런데 지금 너희가 어찌하여 하나님을 시험하여 우리 조상과 우리도 능히 메지 못하던 멍에를 제자들의 목에 두려느냐
10. 又藉著信潔淨了他們的心，並不分他們我們。
11 No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are."
11 그러나 우리는 그들이 우리와 동일하게 주 예수의 은혜로 구원 받는 줄을 믿노라 하니라
11. 現在爲甚麽試探神，要把我們祖宗和我們所不能負的軛放在門徒的頸項上呢？
12 The whole assembly became silent as they listened to Barnabas and Paul telling about the miraculous signs and wonders God had done among the Gentiles through them.
12 온 무리가 가만히 있어 바나바와 바울이 하나님께서 자기들로 말미암아 이방인 중에서 행하신 표적과 기사에 관하여 말하는 것을 듣더니
12. 我們得救乃是因主耶穌的恩，和他們一樣，這是我們所信的。
13 When they finished, James spoke up: "Brothers, listen to me.
13 말을 마치매 야고보가 대답하여 이르되 형제들아 내 말을 들으라
13. 衆人都黙黙無聲，聽巴拿巴和保羅述說神藉他們在外邦人中所行的神蹟奇事。
14 Simon has described to us how God at first showed his concern by taking from the Gentiles a people for himself.
14 하나님이 처음으로 이방인 중에서 자기 이름을 위할 백성을 취하시려고 그들을 돌보신 것을 시므온이 말하였으니
14. 他們住了聲，雅各就說：諸位弟兄，請聽我的話。
15 The words of the prophets are in agreement with this, as it is written:
15 선지자들의 말씀이 이와 일치하도다 기록된 바
15. 方纔西門述說神當初怎樣眷顧外邦人，從他們中間選取百姓歸於自己的名下；
16 "'After this I will return and rebuild David's fallen tent. Its ruins I will rebuild, and I will restore it,
16 이후에 내가 돌아와서 다윗의 무너진 장막을 다시 지으며 또 그 허물어진 것을 다시 지어 일으키리니
16. 衆先知的話也與這意思相合。
17 that the remnant of men may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles who bear my name, says the Lord, who does these things'
17 이는 그 남은 사람들과 내 이름으로 일컬음을 받는 모든 이방인들로 주를 찾게 하려 함이라 하셨으니
17. 正如經上所寫的：此後，我要回來，重新修造大衛倒塌的帳幕，把那破壞的重新修造建立起來，
18 that have been known for ages.
18 즉 예로부터 이것을 알게 하시는 주의 말씀이라 함과 같으니라
18. 叫餘剩的人，就是凡稱爲我名下的外邦人，都尋求主。
19 "It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God.
19 그러므로 내 의견에는 이방인 중에서 하나님께로 돌아오는 자들을 괴롭게 하지 말고
19. 這話是從創世以來，顯明這事的主說的。
20 Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood.
20 다만 우상의 더러운 것과 음행과 목매어 죽인 것과 피를 멀라하라고 편지하는 것이 옳으니
20. 所以據我的意見，不可難爲那歸服神的外邦人；
21 For Moses has been preached in every city from the earliest times and is read in the synagogues on every Sabbath."
21 이는 예로부터 각 성에서 모세를 전하는 자가 있어 안식일마다 회당에서 그 글을 읽음이라 하더라
21. 只要寫信，吩咐他們禁戒偶像的汚穢和姦淫，並勒死的牲畜和血。
22 Then the apostles and elders, with the whole church, decided to choose some of their own men and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They chose Judas (called Barsabbas) and Silas, two men who were leaders among the brothers.
22 이에 사도와 장로와 온 교회가 그 중에서 사람들을 택하여 바울과 바나바와 함께 안디옥으로 보내기를 결정하니 곧 형제 중에 인도자인 바사바라 하는 유다와 실라더라
22. 因爲從古以來，摩西的書在各城有人傳講，每逢安息日，在會堂裏誦讀。
23 With them they sent the following letter: The apostles and elders, your brothers, To the Gentile believers in Antioch, Syria and Cilicia: Greetings.
23 그 편에 편지를 부쳐 이르되 사도와 장로 된 형제들은 안디옥과 수리아와 길리기아에 있는 이방인 형제들에게 문안하노라
23. 那時，使徒和長老並全敎會定意從他們中間揀選人，差他們和保羅、巴拿巴同往安提阿去；所揀選的就是稱呼巴巴的猶大和西拉。這兩個人在弟兄中是作首領的。
24 We have heard that some went out from us without our authorization and disturbed you, troubling your minds by what they said.
24 들은즉 우리 가운데서 어떤 사람들이 우리의 지시도 없이 나가서 말로 너희를 괴롭게 하고 마음을 혼란하게 한다 하기로
24. 於是寫信交付他們，內中說：使徒和作長老的弟兄們問安提阿、敘利亞、基利家外邦衆弟兄的安。
25 So we all agreed to choose some men and send them to you with our dear friends Barnabas and Paul--
25 사람을 택하여 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 이름을 위하여 생명을 아끼지 아니하며 우리가 사랑하는 바나바와 바울과 함께 너희에게 보내기를 만장일치로 결정하였노라
25. 我們聽說，有幾個人從我們這裏出去，用言語攪擾你們，惑亂你們的心。（有古卷在此有：你們必須受割禮，守西的律法。）其實我們並沒有吩咐他們。

26 men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
26. 所以，我們同心定意，揀選幾個人，差他們同我們所親愛的巴拿巴和保羅往你們那裏去。
27 Therefore we are sending Judas and Silas to confirm by word of mouth what we are writing.
27 그리하여 유다와 실라를 보내니 그들도 이 일을 말로 전하리라
27. 這二人是爲我主耶穌基督的名不顧性命的。
28 It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements:
28 성령과 우리는 이 요긴한 것들 외에는 아무 짐도 너희에게 지우지 아니하는 것이 옳은 줄 알았노니
28. 我們就差了猶大和西拉，他們也要親口訴說這些事。
29 You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things. Farewell.
29 우상의 제물과 피와 목매어 죽인 것과 음행을 멀리할지니라 이에 스스로 삼가면 잘되리라 평안함을 원하노라 하였더라
29. 因爲聖靈和我們定意不將別的重擔放在你們身上；惟有幾件事是不可少的，
30 The men were sent off and went down to Antioch, where they gathered the church together and delivered the letter.
30 그들이 작별하고 안디옥에 내려가 무리를 모은 후에 편지를 전하니
30. 就是禁戒祭偶像的物和血，並勒死的牲畜和姦淫。這幾件你們若能自己禁戒不犯就好了。願你們平安！
31 The people read it and were glad for its encouraging message.
31 읽고 그 위로한 말을 기뻐하더라
31. 他們旣奉了差遣，就下安提阿去，聚集衆人，交付書信。
32 Judas and Silas, who themselves were prophets, said much to encourage and strengthen the brothers.
32 유다와 실라도 선지자라 여러 말로 형제를 권면하여 굳게 하고
32. 衆人念了，因爲信上安慰的話就歡喜了。
33 After spending some time there, they were sent off by the brothers with the blessing of peace to return to those who had sent them.
33 얼마 있다가 평안히 가라는 전송을 형제들에게 받고 자기를 보내던 사람들에게로 돌아가되
33. 猶大和西拉也是先知，就用許多話勸勉弟兄，堅固他們。

34 But Silas decided to remain there.
34. 住了些日子，弟兄們打發他們平平安安的回到差遣他們的人那裏去。（有古卷在此有：
35 But Paul and Barnabas remained in Antioch, where they and many others taught and preached the word of the Lord.
35 바울과 바나바는 안디옥에서 유하며 수다한 다른 사람들과 함께 주의 말씀을 가르치며 전파하니라
35. 惟有西拉定意仍住在那裏。）
36 Some time later Paul said to Barnabas, "Let us go back and visit the brothers in all the towns where we preached the word of the Lord and see how they are doing."
36 며칠 후에 바울이 바나바더러 말하되 우리가 주의 말씀을 전한 각 성으로 다시 가서 형제들이 어떠한가 방문하자 하고
36. 但保羅和巴拿巴仍住在安提阿，和許多別人一同敎訓人，傳主的道。
37 Barnabas wanted to take John, also called Mark, with them,
37 바나바는 마가라 하는 요한도 데리고 가고자 하나
37. 過了些日子，保羅對巴拿巴說：我們可以回到從前宣傳主道的各城，看望弟兄們景況如何。
38 but Paul did not think it wise to take him, because he had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not continued with them in the work.
38 바울은 밤빌리아에서 자기들을 떠나 함께 일하러 가지 아니한 자를 데리고 가는 것이 옳지 않다 하여
38. 巴拿巴有意要帶稱呼馬可的約翰同去；
39 They had such a sharp disagreement that they parted company. Barnabas took Mark and sailed for Cyprus,
39 서로 심히 다투어 피차 갈라서니 바나바는 미가를 데리고 배 타고 구브로로 가고
39. 但保羅因爲馬可從前在旁非利亞離開他們，不和他們同去作工，就以爲不可帶他去。
40 but Paul chose Silas and left, commended by the brothers to the grace of the Lord.
40 바울은 실라를 택한 후에 형제들에게 주의 은혜에 부탁함을 받고 떠나
40. 於是二人起了爭論，甚至彼此分開。巴拿巴帶著馬可，坐船往居比路去；
41 He went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.
41 수리아와 길리기아로 다니며 교회들을 견고하게 하니라
41. 保羅揀選了西拉，也出去，蒙弟兄們把他交於主的恩中。
